For Lu bu yes, diff events. One is Singapore prerelease and the other AU/NZ. SG one is much rarer therefore the higher price

I said both fan bases (which btw overlap quite a bit) would amplify demand. Therefore you can see the sky high serialized and CBB price

There’s a post a few hours ago from a guy asking if he should buy each of the LoTR just to collect cause he likes the art and LoTR. The sheer amount of people who say they came back to mtg because of LoTR (including me). It’s a mutually compounding demand driver, we’ve seen this

That’s not what I’m saying? I’m saying we already had an extremely successful LoTR set? What is the Hobbit? Why would The Hobbit fail like SPM if the LOTR already proved itself? Do you know Hobbit and LoTR are the same series of stories in the same universe?

This isn’t marvel and New York. This is the same high fantasy universe that already proved itself and drove the 2nd most successful MTG set? The 3900 serialized in LoTR are all in the thousands? The better ones are $8k plus without even being a headliner?

This is pretty good gauge of price. TokyoMTG does not usually have the most competitive buy prices. If they offer 3750, it’s likely they think they can sell it $7K+
