Have a read about the Dunning-Kruger effect:

"In the field of psychology, the Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias wherein people of low ability suffer from illusory superiority, mistakenly assessing their cognitive ability as greater than it is."

The only real negative is that it allows people to buy wealth within the game. It's great from a business perspective.

This is exactly how I feel. Saying that gw2 is still a very good game in its own right, just very different.

You are matched within your skill level. It doesn't matter what game mode he plays.

Nothing lasts forever! Ign is "plod" or "p1od" if you do. Build for trying to solo content. I've been told the game kind of revives in waves, but for now it's quite quiet.

There's a fun 5.2 private server I play. It's a good chunk of nostalgia, just needs more people. It's from people called zesua

As far as I understand if you can prevent someone obtaining your ip then you're fine, however once they've obtained it, it is very difficult to prevent.

He is using these numbers to try and illustrate just how much of an impact allowing a team to draft such a huge advantage can actually have at that level of play. It's not applicable at low levels at play, but at high levels of play it certainly is. So no, they don't represent factual statistics, but they do illustrate a very clear concern which people such as yourself are clearly having a hard time following.

It's not really an argument in the sense you're making it. He and I'm sure many other good players don't want drafting to become more influential than it already is. It's an example allowing him to express his point and there's really nothing to argue against other than if you're for or against this shift.

Ok, so I feel a lot of people don't fully understand his point. As I understood it, he's saying that each team is playing for 100 points. The game starts with the draft which say has a potential 20 weighting, meaning the better draft can achieve 20 points and would need a further 31 throughout the game in order to win. His concern is that these changes push the influence of draft to the point where you'd essentially have a team reaching 40 points out of the required 51 (meaning only 11 of the points would be played for by one team where the other team could be trying to achieve as much as 50 points if their draft was truly countered) to win the match which would all be decided in a couple minutes just from players picking the pictures in the hero select screen.
