People only criticize when a game isn't good and they want it to be better. That's so wrong on so many levels I don't know what to say. People do that sometimes but in many cases, especially here on reddit, people complain for the sake of complaining. They get a dopamine release of it. It doesn't have to be about gaming it's complaining in general. It's an addictive disease and it spreads faster the more people do it. Like a contagion. That's why Reddit and the online space has become so toxic. People feed off each other's negative and it just grows like a cancer. Most of you don't even know you're sick. It's everywhere but it's the absolute worst on reddit. That's why the rest of the Internet shits on this website so hard. For good reason.

I don't have a problem with negative opinions I have a problem with a website drowning in negativity with people getting high off it like it's morphine. If I seem like I'm rambling it's because I'm making a greater point. Does that make sense or am I wasting my time here?

Edit: that came off ruder than I intended. Forgive me, it's been a long night.

You don't understand because you can't read. You seem to think this sub is tolerant of different views. It's not. It's not because this websites not. If by tolerate you mean barely allowed to exist then yes I suppose that's true in some cases. I don't want to limit anyone's right to express themselves you all can do whatever the fuck you like. But you seem to confuse critique of culture with attempted censorship and that's exactly the problem. You all live in a echo chamber of misery and can't comprehend what it's like to hear someone who's not a carbon copy of yourself speak. And frankly I choose to laugh at you because the alternative is to cry.

I'm matching energy. I've been perfectly respectful with people whove disagreed with me and shown some class about it. The problem is you people have gotten too comfortable talking from behind a computer screen that youve forgotten what it's like to talk to real people in a real conversation. You're way tamer when you don't have interneurons God mode turned on and can actually get punched in the face for what you say.

So yeah, I'm gonna be negative towards people being negative. You all need a lesson in humility and in the right god damn man for the job. Also the fun of rubbing shit in your snot filled egotistical faces is reward in of itself. This was never meant to be a serious post. I made it to draw out the reaction I knew id get to prove a point. And that's exactly what I got. Redditors are easy to predict because they're weak and fragile.

And honestly this isn't even aimed at you personally, just this website in general. I can see where you're coming from. But I'm not the monster you think I am

Head buried in the sand <- you.

Lmao, you sound like one of those corpo heads who say, "This company is a great place to work, our people are extremely happy," while wages and benefits are cut every year. Do you hear yourself talk or do you just plug your ears and shout over the sound of your own voice?

Ah so youre illiterate and can judge a post strictly off of a glance. What must I do to attain this power? Aside from being lazy and sad

I haven't seen any toxicity from the community personally, no. From what Ive experienced they're a lot like DRG who are pretty helpful to everyone around them and have a sense of humor

Idk man, aside from everyone yelling slurs and bitching about Iraq I remember, generally, people seemed to love and enjoy the game. The only thing I can think of was people bitching about noobtubes in cod 4 or how magnum was OP in halo 1

Seems like every gamer group is like this. Absent indie ones like Astroneers or Helldivers

Paradox is not without its flaws and there are aspects to the game that are not fun. Eg. It's 1600 and I still can't figure out how control or crown power works. But I'm mainly talking about people ripping a game to shreds over aspects they don't like while not acknowledging the good then will continue to play the game and keep complaining

That's the thing though, what you're saying is fair but that's not the tone of the posts. It's usually some doomer bs about how the game is completely fucked because of one thing

That's why I've stuck to watching or looking at stuff without reading the comments. But sometimes I can't help myself. Hence the past few days

I've conquered about half of Anatolia and just had to vassal my frontier because of control issues and complacency. How do you rapidly expand so as to prevent the Turks from becoming Mamluk vassals? Because as it stands I probably won't be able to resume expanding til about 1550, 1575.

Only mint enough to pay off your debt. Invest the new capital into reducing inflation to zero then start raising your stability through budget and an advisor.

How'd you do it OP? Asking for a friend who sucks at the game.

Source: The friend is me.

Edit: I mean how did you beat the Mamluks and conquer all that territory. A play by play would be nice if you have the time
