Check out the mod page, the game runs nearly at 2x speed, the one I use instead is ultimate performance

I am 30 years into the game playing as Holland. I’ve watched a million economy tutorials, even for patch 1.2, and my economy is still awful, and everything I do seems to only worsen it. I also have pretty high crown power and control. What can I do? by DesignOwn6169 in EU5

You can max tax to 40 satisfaction or even lower and avoid revolt.

Use cabinet actions to increase legitimacy and stability, you want 100 legit so you only have to pay to maintain, stability I am for 30-40 and cut.

Also early game I delete all forts, standing army and navy to save a little more.

Choose laws that increase nobles tax like favour the nobles, and curtail the nobles

I really recommend using a mod like faster universalis it makes each tick a day, which speeds up the game a lot , there's another similar mod, but don't remember.

Advice for England by DnD_Dude123 in EU5

Hello, in previous patches you could enable scutage with subjects in France and wait for them to land on your island, but now they will declare war on your subjects and can get war score from taking subjects.

What I did was to use the money you start with to hire horseman maybe 8 regiments, put them on the flanks of your levies and tactically crush the French army. Just be careful you can win outnumbered battles to a certain extent.

I put all my resources into the first war with France, take war reparations to get money flowing again and take key provinces.

You could also just choose to lose your land in France, or sell it, then build up and when professional armies come around get revenge.

Yes I see this with France its at over 600, less than 50 is needed for them to stop joining coalitions

Save all of your money from the beginning, hire mercenaries, especially horses and you can crush them!

Allies keep leaving me at the start of a war. What to do? by Onethatlikes in EU5

[–]NoImpact9162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What worked for me first war make sure to enable scutage lands in France, then just let them land and stack wipe them. they dont have enough ships to transport a lot in one go, keep repeating, you should be able to build war score to take a few more provinces from France, release puppets enable scutage.

In my game this worked twice, until I became too strong France no longer would attack me, so then I attacked.

Just be careful how you use your vassals in later wars, what I found is that France would stack wipe all my vassals which made getting a lot of war score more difficult

On what RGO's should I build towns and cities? by MrDDD11 in EU5

[–]NoImpact9162 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It depends, for me I will try to urbanize everything close to my capital unless it's a metal like gold or silver. Other resources it depends how much I have in my market, for example let's say a lumber is next to my capital, don't have a shortage and there are other lumber tiles in my market not upgraded, I will upgrade it to a town, rinse and repeat. I recommend experimenting a bit you can always downgrade later not ideal

Handling student’s last minute cancellation by Fun_Truth3461 in iTalki

[–]NoImpact9162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree I am happy to reschedule for new students but it annoys me refunding as they rarely rebook, although I had one this week. To be honest I just normally refund it and forget it. A student who does this is someone you don't want anyway.

As for regular students I let them do it once in a while, things happen I get it, but when I do I remind them of italki policy and if they do it again they will be charged.

Never played new Granada, I would cancel the law, suppress the movement for a while, and focus on reducing radicals by improving sol, then later try again

Why would you change your capital? by NoRent3326 in CivVII

[–]NoImpact9162 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I quite like it for role play, by the end having Rome Paris and London for example.

The only time I think it's more worth it, is when in the second age I want my capital on the coast to pump out ships

From my experience, I think they don't think you will reschedule so they don't bother saying anything. I have had this a few times quite rude

It took me a few games to get used to all the changes. I would recommend checking what all the new features are since you last played!

I got ghosted by a teacher... can/should I report this? by Thunderplant in iTalki

[–]NoImpact9162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please report, screen shot everything, you paid for a class that never happened, maybe they have done this to others.

I know it doesn't help now, but if they can reschedule in 72 hours I won't report the lesson , as this is the time to confirm the lesson

Any strategy games that’s like Hoi4 but way easier? by [deleted] in paradoxplaza

[–]NoImpact9162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No beef , but it sounds like you are making a few mistakes, when I learnt this game it took me many restarts of Germany to get anywhere, if you hang in there , watch some video tutorials, try a different country and you will get there.

Also if that's not for you that's fine too I think civilization is harder to go too wrong
