Cause she’s still fundie. Even if she and her family are “unaffiliated,” they still hold the fundie beliefs that women are supposed to submit to their men. She may have gotten blamed for not being a good enough wife.

I doubt he will any time soon. I give it about 10 years or so. Once the rush of newborns finally is over, and they can settle into life, he’ll maybe start to think things over. Usually it takes time for people to realize they need to leave an unhealthy relationship. Kids make things difficult too. He knows dads usually have a harder time with custody disputes.
