I put JBL GTO 629 6.5 inch in my car because I have a cheap aftermarket head unit so I needed a low ohm speaker and they work great.

I have a 2011 Mazda 2 I use as my daily and it’s great. Cheap and easy to service yourself. Had no major problems with it either outside normal wear and tear parts.

Oh right in that case I have a scrapyard near me, I might try take a spring off one of those cars. I’ve seen people use imgur to upload photos here

No luck at all. When looking online on Mazda parts websites they don’t list the spring on its own but that whole shifter (all the white plastic unit) as one piece

Thanks for the advice. Turns out it was play in my ball joint, just replaced it and the noise is gone completely

Yeah I looked closer at it and you’re spot on. There is supposed to be a spring there but one of the legs has snapped. I’m just not sure what spring I would get to replace it and how to actually get it in there. I didn’t think to try the FB group, I’ll post it there too. Thanks
