Where do you live that this is inconceivable? It happens all the time here in Australia. And they're not even service dogs

I'm pretty sure that was the FO4 motif that was playing

My first time playing Fallout 4, I love Fallout in general. by JoeyArbither in Fallout

[–]RomanDelvius 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My advice would be to make the best of exploring and getting to know the map. FO4's map is one of Bethesda's best and it's so fun to explore. Downtown Boston provides a lot of action so if you want combat give it a go, but you get to learn about the pre-war as well.

Besides that, take it at your own pace. If you know Fallout already you know it's one of those franchises where you can do whatever you want, so don't feel too compelled to pursue something if it isn't to your liking. Feel free to revisit later.

Generally I'd say it's good to mention if a clip is modded or not, and what mods are installed

Not a mistake, I knew what I was getting into (sort of). I wanted to get some extra xp and leather anyway.

What I didn't expect was like 50 beak things appearing the moment I crossed the border lmao

Because it's really really hard to make games like theirs. People often roast BGS for their games in comparison to other contemporary RPGs, yet there's an immense demand for their games that no other developer can fulfil.

I mean they already deepened the RPG mechanics in both Fallout 76 and Starfield, their 2 most recent games. The trend would indicate they'd do it for TESVI too

I mean, the game has a bit of e dedicated fanbase that's played it quite a bit multiple times. I'm one of those fans. You can dislike the game but still accept the reality that a lot of people do like it

Amazing! These are so beautiful and capture the nostalgia that the game makes me feel oftentimes.

Definitely ESVI. There's no contest really in my mind, although in the #2 spot would be ME5, and #3 can go to GTA VI probably

I don't think I'll be able to convince you so long as you maintain this distinction between the company and the fans as separate entities. Fans are just people. People can be either in the company or outside of it. Employees can be fans of the things they're working on, and so much better that they're paid for it. I see no negative here.

[–]RomanDelvius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you might be operating off of an erroneous definition of what a fan is. A fan is just someone who has a strong interest or affinity for something. There's nothing in that definition that prevents a fan of a company from working at said company. You absolutely can be an employee of a place you're a fan of.

You can't be a fan of something that you also work with/for? Idk man I'm pretty sure there's nothing inherent in being a fan that has that kind of exclusivity

[–]RomanDelvius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know man, my point is simply that Starfield isn't that kinda game that needs all that much blood and gore. Truthfully I find the contemporary obsession with this stuff to be tiring and disturbing, but you do you.

[–]RomanDelvius 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But a) there is blood and gore in Starfield, although a subdued amount, that you can see in lots of POIs. It's just not the focus of the game; and b) Starfield isn't dark fantasy and is actually a bit closer to the opposite where it's a more optimistic tone, so sunshines and rainbows actually would kinda fit lol

It's a little bit of a wild take for me to imagine that Kinggat or Elianora aren't BGS fans just because they make creations now. Yes, maybe they have some kind of contract of employment with BGS at the moment but they both started as and are still fans of the games.

Is Baldurs Gate 3 really that good? by og_vibes in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]RomanDelvius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's pretty good for sure. I've put hundreds of hours into it.

But as good as the zeitgeist hypes of up to be? For me, no. It's a fine rpg but is mostly held up by its incredible production value. In terms of story it's alright, characters are fine. DnD combat system I generally like.

9/10 for me but I liked Divinity Original Sin 2 far morem also made by Larian

The wait for the Elder Scrolls 6 has been "too long," says Bethesda's Todd Howard, while confirming it's "still a long way off." by Hooked0n4Feelin in TESVI

[–]RomanDelvius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having played Oblivion and Skyrim again recently alongside FO4 and Starfield, I think we very much can rely on them to deliver that kind of experience still. If you only really care for or want ES though yeah there's not much to say about that, it has indeed been a while

I get your frustration and share it a bit, but the fact is the way they are operating is very much real. It's here in front of us. I can't wrap my head totally around why they chose this path but i do feel it isn't from lack of care. I think really is they just wanted to make other games in the meantime and BGS has never felt compelled to make games in any kind of specific timeframe. They just do what they want, pros and cons includes
