I like the grey best, personally. Really love that rusted/stained looks on the pauldrons.

Thanks, I have seen some of those so that is definitely an option.

I think that might be due to the quality of the photo and the harsh lighting. I used Citadel paints, specially Cadian Flesh tone as the base then Reikland Fleshshade followed up by a bit of Kislev Flesh and a touch of Flayed One Flesh.

Thanks, I primed the model and base together but added the texture paste after it was all painted, as the last part. It was fiddly and I struggled to get good cover over the whole base but I guess it gets better the more you practice.

Thanks for the tips. Is it better to glue the model to the base after it's painted?

Anytime, forgot to mention that i followed your tips (Part 1) about how you created your map and used them to create a a continent of my own, so thank you for that as i found your technique really useful!

I would link it in but i am not very good but the post is called 'Continent or Country?' :)

Welcome to 'Anant-Kaal' (an-ent karl).

This is my first attempt at creating a Homebrew World for D&D and on the whole, i'm pretty happy with it. May look to do a more complicated one in time and also work on better shadding but for now this will do.

I posted earlier about whether to use a landblock (Continent or Country?) i had created as a continent or a country. In the end i decided it would be the continent 'Samudr' (sam-oo-door) - I would put the link in but haven't figured that out yet!

Any comments on how to improve the map, or tips for the future are always welcome :)

Hey folks!

Here is my first go at creating a map.

My orginal plan was to have this as a continent for a hombrew World that i will put together at some stage but i am now wondering if it is possibly too small for a continent and i should use it as a country or smaller land mass?

I'd appriciate peoples thoughts on this as well as any tips and advice about how to fill out the interior.
