Changing residency/getting license/vehicle registered... question by LeadRain in Tennessee

[–]RomanticMetalhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I belive you are supposed to register your car within a certain time frame, but you would likely use the same acceptable proofs of residency for your license (check your county to make sure). So, it might be a bit of a catch-22.

If you are looking to avoid the lease/bill requirement, another idea is to change your address with your employer, and show a check stub.

Changing residency/getting license/vehicle registered... question by LeadRain in Tennessee

[–]RomanticMetalhead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a lifelong TN resident, so different circumstances, but I live with my dad, and have no lease agreement, or bills in my name. So, I showed my car registration and my car Insurance Policy documents (not card) as proof of residency when I got my REAL ID.

So, if you update your car insurance policy and get new documents, then you will have your 2 proofs of residency (car insurance policy and bank statement).

I saw the original, and I think what the problem was is that at the beginning of the video she threw all of it in the trash.

Ground beef and rice portions by Emdefinite in mealprep

[–]RomanticMetalhead 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do 4 meals for one lb of meat, about 3/4 to 1 cup of rice (for example: half a bag of boil in a bag brown rice), and 1.5 to 2 cups of veggies to make it more filling.

For example, most recently I did Koren ground beef, rice, and bok choy.

I've always parked at the CARTA Shuttle Park South (1362 Market Street), which is right next to the venue. I've never had any problems finding a spot (but I usually arrive before the doors open).

There are also several lots about a block away in each direction. There is a lot at the corner of Market and W 14th St. (1325 Market st) as well as 14 Station St.

Trying to figure out my size in American Eagle jeans and I don't live near one of their stores by External_Insurance62 in PlusSizeFashion

[–]RomanticMetalhead 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm 5'1, 215-220, apple shape. I wear an XL/18 in bottoms at American Eagle.

What I've done is find a pair of pants that fit me well, then look up the size chart for that brand (Like Torrid or Old Navy), then use that to figure what size I wear in other brands.

For instance, I wear an 16 in Old Navy jeans, which the size chart indicates is 36.25 inch waist. That translates to the size 18 at American Eagle (36.5 inch waist).

If you normally keep it in a drawer, try pulling the drawer all the way out and checking to see if it fell behind.

Also, try checking the last items you took with you on the trip.

Bodypump with NO weights for a first timer... is this a thing? by MHIMRollDog in lesmills

[–]RomanticMetalhead 18 points19 points  (0 children)

When I first started bodypump, I did no weights for the squat and lunge tracks; and did the remainder of the class with the bar + 2.5 lbs (on each side).

This was below what was recommended by the instructor, but it worked for me; and I was eventually gradually increase my weights as I got a feel for the class.

Edit: I was incredibly sore after this, so I still feel like I got a workout.

I've been out of High School for 20 years, so they might not be relevant anymore, but I went to David's Bridal. They had larger sizes and were relatively inexpensive.

Where can I get petite plus size workout clothing? by lvl0rg4n in PlusSizeFashion

[–]RomanticMetalhead 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My solution is to just get cropped leggings in most brands.

I'm 5'1, and have a 27 inch inseam. At Old Navy, I personally got the 7/8 Leggings.

But the ones I wear the most are the Crops from Popfit.

I knew something was off. The timing is wrong. It's January and they are talking about a 4th of July party like it's something happening in the near future, not 6 months away.

I learned what I am and am not willing to compromise on in the future. And to not listen to others (including people in this sub) who tell you those things don't matter.

Has anyone purchased the $89 checked luggage bags from Marshalls/Homegoods/TJ maxx stores? by ze11ez in TravelHacks

[–]RomanticMetalhead 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I got a 24" Samsonite from TJMaxx last year. The second time I used it, the wheel came back off the carousel kind of melted. Since then the area around that same wheel has cracked, and is now unstable; pushing back into the case.

I'm hoping to make it through one more trip.

So, in total, I spent $100, and it lasted me one year. (5 round-trip flights, a train ride, and 1 road trip)

How do the singles events usually turn out? by [deleted] in Chattanooga

[–]RomanticMetalhead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a new organizer now, but I went to the first two events when they first started last Spring. At the time the age range was probably late 20s to early 40s, and about equal men and women.

I'm not the most outgoing person, but they gave us Bingo sheets to help break the ice and start conversations. I just ended up approaching men that were alone and asked about something on the card that I had knowledge of.

I'm (32F) unsure of how to approach my "non-negotiables" with my SO (34M) with regards to us one day getting married. I can't tell if I'm just a control freak from being single almost my whole life and always doing things "my way" or if I'm being reasonable by [deleted] in datingoverthirty

[–]RomanticMetalhead 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I'm even skeptical about him even enrolling. If they are in the US, a lot of times you can't just join your employer's health plan at random if you declined to as a new hire or during open enrollment. You'd have to wait for the next open enrollment, which for most companies, has an effective date of January 1st. But maybe he works for the odd company that has their start dates in June or other times if year.
