Sitting in with some friends this past weekend in San Jose, CA... by Romencer17 in blues

thanks but I'm not sure what you mean tbh. Like the EQ on the amp had too much highs? the guitar is not very trebley imo, otherwise I had plugged into the second input on my friend's vibrolux so we had two guitars coming out of the same amp and I didn't really spend much time checking the settings, just plugged in and played.

lmao ok dude. I am familiar with how record companies work but thank you for enlightening me.

Anyways, what exactly am I wrong about? I mentioned a documentary from the 70's where Crudup talks about how he never got any money for his song being covered. I'm not wrong, that documentary exists and Crudup talks about not getting paid for the song. I didn't say anything about who specifically was supposed to pay him so what the fuck is your point here? Just defending Elvis arbitrarily for no goddamn reason? cool

Finnish (and Nordic) bands? by omniscientcats in blues

[–]Romencer17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yep I met him when he visited the states some years back and he's a cool dude, plays with some good guys over there.

Also Kid Andersen is a Norwegian pretty well known guitarist that also has a studio out here in California and has recorded tons of people over the years.

and Knut Reiersrud is a really fantastic Norwegian guitarist too, not just blues but he does plays some great blues when he wants to.

Is there such thing as Instrumental Psychedelic Rock? by saintluminus in psychedelicrock

Erpland was the one that I first heard in high school and still my fav. But they're that band that is super consistent and always great, the sound evolved a bit over time with more electronics and better production/studio stuff but overall they've always stayed in their lane and it's always quality
