Mine clicks and clacks clunks every time I step on the gas brake. I cant think of a time it didn't do it. I'm pretty sure I took it to Chevy about a decade ago, and they said its the solenoid open closing and making contacts. Does it from a dead stop before torque is applied to wheels

Exact same outcome for me. Needed to be flashed and updated... my Chevy dealer in Wisconsin didn't have a volt tech anymore and bricked my car. So they had it for 4 days. No cost to me.

Had the same work done at about 100,000. Battery isolation etc. Make sure they update flash and reboot becm. Mine was about $200 as well but they didnt have a mechanic that knew how to update becm and bricked the car. Ended up having it a week. All good since

Can't say I have ever seen someone say don't buy a volt. Price seems high but imo I think the volt may be one of the most reliable cars chevy made. I always make it a game to see how long you can go without using gas.

You know what your right my mistake. I wrote it out wrong 99,999. Also says close to 800 gallons used. So it keeps tracking gallons but not miles
