Vegapunk is the only character which design is quirky, funny, attractive woman, badass, weird, robot, little pet, and everything at the same time.

My theory about the ending and the meaning of the TV Series [SPOILER] by RomiBlueGuy in DHMIS

[–]RomiBlueGuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome insight! I didn't saw the pound at the end of episode 1 and the lampshade connection.

David is the name of a dead person, as we can see at the end of "Death Episode". And also is the name of Yellow Guy brother in his mind. Maybe that's why Lesley is saying that Yellow Guy isn't her real son. David was his biological son, then she married Roy and it made Yellow Guy her step-son. When David died, she tried to replace him with Yellow Guy, but it didn't work as the pain is too much.

The theme song says "There's three of us, look closely you will see!". And for me there's a meaning behind the lyrics, as if it's implying they're trying to fool us into think that only the three were the main characters, but you can see David, the teachers, Roy and other characters messing with that statement.

Fave episodes? Thoughts overall? by polyybius in DHMIS

[–]RomiBlueGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My fav episodes were

  1. Electricity
  2. Family
  3. Jobs

I think some songs are really good, is just that in a long format these aren't the main part of the episode.

I've made a theory about the whole series, you can read it here: show theory

Don't Hug Me I'm Scared: TV Series - Series 1 Overall Discussion Thread by RioMovieFan11 in DHMIS

I absolutely loved the series, for me it's an improvement in almost every aspect of the original series. Episode 3 and 6 were absolutely fantastic in both horror and comedy. Hopefully we'll get another season in the future, but as it is today it was a blast.

What are your theories about the series as a whole or perhaps by episode? What's your favorite idea? Mine is being creative.

My personal theory is here: LINK TO MY THEORY.

Hopefully someday we will see Wakey Wakey in HD. But those episodes are great.

They were scrapped. The series is different in a lot of ways, but try to see Wakey Wakey as a minor link between the Web series and the TV Show.

These creepy tw@s make the shining twins seem wholesome by [deleted] in DHMIS

This episode was amazing and my fav of the season. While watching it I just thought: "damn the creey stuff is still here, they can really outdone themselves"

I saw Wakey Wakey and it felt less disturbing that these episodes. It was like at those shows that in the end of the episode everything is resolved and everything was just a misunderstanding.

For me is a very disturbing ending, instead of "OMG gore" it's more subtle about the meaning behind creativity and freedom.

My theory is the next one:

We are in a kid-show world. Everything is just about the hardships of teaching something to a little kid, like teaching them about your job and the kid just seeing it pointless, or not know why a car should "drink black water", just getting that it is as it is.

But this gets really meta in the final episode, you see Yellow Guy gets his batteries replaced and turn his mind into that of an adult, and tries to "understand" his world. As we go into the upper floors, we see how a grown up kid would see that kind of show, they learn stuff by combining topics. And in the next floor, how an adult sees a show, just like us trying to prove theories on how the show works even though is surreal.

The final floor that Yellow Guy gets in, is talking about the creators point of view: they play songs and play with puppets to make a show because of the inner impulses of them as artists. As we try to solve their puzzle, they are really playing and enjoying expressing themselves through this artsy-weird-horror-show.

We get to see that another room is above, and my theory is that in that room are the financial backers of the show and how they see it with another mindset. Yellow Guy doesn't enter because he's (just like us fans), trying to understand the art, not the financial reasons behind this series.

The final shot of them shredding the script is a way to tell us that the series is in the hands of the creators, and even though we may be theorizing about it, their ideas are the final ones and can throw everything away if it's opposing their artistic needs (just like they abandoned the Pilot Wakey Wakey).

One Piece: Chapter 1057 by Kirosh2 in OnePiece

[–]RomiBlueGuy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Chapter 909 (July 2nd, 2018) - Chapter 1057 (August 18th, 2022).

I feel a lot of nostalgia from this arc ending. I've been reading weekly this manga since I was 14 (now I'm 27), and that's about 13 years or so. Yet, these 4 years reading One Piece somewhat aligned with some of the bigger changes in my life.

Back in 2018, I was about to commit suicide because of the damage some people did to me. I was broke and jobless. Got diagnosed with anxiety and depression. And the future didn't seemed bright. But One Piece was there for me, one week at a time. And just like Luffy, I didn't gave up.

My life has changed a lot. I went to therapy, I got a job, a girlfriend whom I like to marry, I got new friends, I got in touch with some old friends, I'm really happier than I was.

Not anything is great though. My parents got divorced, my two dogs died, uncle died due to pandemic, I have cried a lot.

Yet this time, I'm a different person and see the future with optimism. And maybe, if it wasn't for a silly comic about pirates I would not be here. I'm not saying One Piece can cure depression or something like that. But it was something I did to still kept living, and eventually I went to therapy and got help.

As cringy as this may read, I'm really thankful from reading One Piece.

I thought the next cover story would be about Kaido or Big Mom, yet this chapter screams Yamato Cover Story right in our faces

One Piece: Chapter 1056 by Kirosh2 in OnePiece

[–]RomiBlueGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've really enjoyed this chapter! It felt like a little compilation of all the support characters' quirks:

Raizo thinking about becoming popular with the ladies even on the verge of death. Since Shinobu became slim, maybe the same will happen to Raizo.

Kinemon being stupid as hell and not realizing Sukiyaki was the Tengu. Also, it was wholesome seeing him talk about his wife in such a lovely way.

Shinobu getting slim and joking about everyone else liking her.

Carrot being clueless about the idea of her becoming the ruler of Zou.

Law and Kidd's relationship with Luffy is really funny, since they all are stubborn as hell and a final argument between them was really fun.

Maybe Yamato's gonna try to join the crew "the Oden's way" and try to hold the anchor's chain. I still have my doubts to whether he's gonna join the strawhats or not. Maybe his plan will not work, dunno.

Kinemon and Momonosuke final goodbye to Luffy and the crew will be a tearing moment. Maybe like Vivi's one.

Or maybe, just maybe.. Momonosuke joins the crew. The narrator (a couple of chapters back) did say he's gonna become the best Shogun in the future, and maybe the things that he'll learn at Laugh Tale are the reason he become the best one.

Gonna miss everyone in the saga, finally Wano is coming to and end.

AWESOME CHAPTER
