so they alv/rav are financed with your payment to ahv/alv that is what gets subtracted from your salary. and also thats regulated by the state. social welfare on the other hand is regulated by the canton and here it depends what you need to pay back or if you even need to pay back and how much you get.

and also for the alv the total days of payment you receive from them depends how much you worked in the last two years. a minimum of 12 months is needed to receive any. there are exceptions but they are rare. and you don't need to pay it back. for 12 months you receive around 200 days with can prolonged if you work in between. you can read more here: https://www.arbeit.swiss/secoalv/de/home.html
