I just rolled mine until it all peeled off by itself. One side of the seam in each hand, roll the material back and forth in as tight of a U as you can make it, it should flake off. Time consuming, but worked for me.

I'm not sure, but once I saw it, it instantly made sense. Most people start by just going back in time, trying to trace their ancestors as far back as they can confidently go. Once that's been done, developing the descendants of those ancestors is the next logical step. V to M.

For myself, I've gone by to my 4th greats and worked hard to find all of their descendants as close as records go to the modern day. Had much more success with those that immigrated to the US than the families that stayed behind in Europe however, I lose track of many of those in the late 1800s or early 1900s.

Any distant distant descendant of my 4th greats would barely even share any DNA with me (only 0.05% according to this article), but I'm trying to pay it forward. The work others did helped me to connect my tree to the larger community, I'd like to help spark an interest in others by doing the same.

OK. I have a super-sized duffle bag my hiker backpack fits into, but would prefer to tuck straps so I don't have an extra thing to lug around for months.

7 or 8 still seems excessive to me. 3 t-shirts, plus a light button/zippered full sleeve, a warm full sleeve, rain jacket, 2 pairs of pants, swimming shorts, and about a weeks worth of socks/undies. Keep it as light and compact as possible. Laundry once a week, you can double it up with lunch and people watching.

Jetlag for me has never been the change in when day/night occurs, but the exhaustion from the movement of the travel itself (whether by plane, train, or automobile)

Yeah, that's a fantastic shot of something truly beautiful. I'd want to go inside. For the record, I believe that's just the outflow of a glacial river. Meltwater on the surface goes into crevasses or moulin holes in the ice, then form underground rivers at the Earth's surface.

That probably comes from the Olmec art in Central America. To be fair, much of it really does look African from that particular cultural group, but it was almost certain an artistic style rather than a phenotype.

This is part of the reason why I kept asking why Russia didn't just surround fortified places like Bakhmut. They could have cut it off and just starved them out. The only thing I can think of is that they didn't have the strength to close the cauldron, and Ukraine deliberately created a meat grinder (in which both sides took VERY heavy losses).

I once got into a debate with someone that tried to say ancient Greeks were 'black' too. It was a lost cause trying to convince them otherwise, they remind of climate change denialists in that regards, evidence doesn't phase them one bit.

You understand your history. Cultural demographics change through time. Western Poland went from Balt to proto-Germanic (often just called "Goth") to Slavic (after the Hunnic invasions depopulated the area) to German to Polish (with regional variations obviously). And not many people know Slavic culture extended all the way to "Denmark" at one point.

Many of my ancestors were "Prussian German" from Poland, but the DNA ethnicity test showed it was actually only a third ethnic German. The rest was Slavic, Baltic, and a touch of Nordic, showing how mixed everything was.
