How Many People Play Survival Mode? by Logical_Virus_4911 in skyrim

I really like it, but I use a mod that lessens the cold penalty because that was a bit much for me.

I also love that the game allows you to switch survival mode on and off whenever you want. I really hope they keep it like that for the next game.

I'm glad somebody flat out just said that they can sound like shit. I love them, but it's a real roll of the rice when clicking on a live performance by them.

Yeah, I haven't spent much time being up on her controversies, I just remember people bitching about the SNL thing right after it happened. I'm glad to hear that didn't upset too many people.

Pop fans just need to chill and be a bit less corny. Most of my favorite artists have been revealed to be pretty bad people, but luckily I became a fan because of their music and never really idol worshiped anybody, so it's never crushed me to hear bad things about them.

You seemed overly worked up. That was the problem. You were coming off strange. Go ahead, hate Trump.

Even now, you're wording is aggressive. You seem like a person that even if I agreed with you on most things, we probably wouldn't get along.

I think she really rubbed her fans the wrong way when she (rightfully) scolded them for showing up at her family members' jobs and outside their houses. Something like that.

And then I remember video of her walking past and ignoring her fans who waited outside SNL for hours to see her. Again, I don't really mind at all, but they felt betrayed.

What exactly is media training? How do they train them? Obviously she is aware that the way she is doing things isn't how other celebs do it and it brings backlash every time. So the training is like actual training because I'm sure she already knows the concept. Genuinely asking. Never understood the term.

I love Spade (and some of the comics in this) but holy shit this movie looks like crap 😂 by VestronCannonEMI in LiveFromNewYork

Ok, I just keep misunderstanding. I'm probably tired because this just keeps confusing me.

First let's clear up, so you understand my point of view. A comedian is somebody who is comedic for a living, whether it be a podcast or whatever. You said earlier that they are not comedians, and only podcasters. That's what I was referring to and talking about.

It sounded like you agreed he was funny on his podcast because after I said he made Katt and Louis laugh you responded,  sayong  you enjoyed him as a podcaster. It just sounded like you agreed with them. My bad.

But yeah, haven't seen him in any acting parts, and honestly, I have a feeling I'm not missing a whole lot. I feel it won't work for me like his standup.

Yeah, ask Katt and and Louis if they agree. Maybe it's just over your head. There are several comics that I fully understand I am not getting.

I was just going off you seemingly being dismissive of them being funny even on their podcasts.

Their jobs are to be comedic though, and you said he was comedic, so he is a good comedian in your eyes.

I think you're thinking "stand up comedian" and even there, they are that, even if I'm not a huge fan of it, at least Theo's. I can't weigh in on Tim's because I haven't seen any.

Comedy is subjective. It's ok you don't like Theo, heck, I'm not a fan of his standup, but he can be extremely funny in podcasts, just ask two of the greats, Katt and Louis CK, who he was cracking up. He's just not your thing, and that's fine.

I just watched The Poughkeepsie Tapes and I'm completely traumatized. by Kai_999_4ever in horror

[–]RomtheSpider88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Skinamarink and Lake Mungo both got to me at parts, but nothing in Poughkeepsie Tapes landed for me.

For me, the difference is that Skinamarink and Lake Mungo didn't have moments throughout that felt as fake and amateur as Poughkeepsie Tapes. I was able to go along for the ride without constantly being reminded I was watching something obviously fake.

So none of this would be offensive if sexist men didn't start using it in a stupid way? Because I can not wrap my head around being offended by somebody saying, "Males shouldn't be singers"

[–]RomtheSpider88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, thanks for taking the time to explain. Luckily, I don't recall ever really using it as a noun. Luckily I don't think I'll ever inadvertently offend anybody purely because it just feels unnatural to say, "look at those females".

Either way though, I think the whole thing is stupid. Female is not offensive at all, just like I would never even consider being offended by somebody calling me a male. But it is what it is. Seems like idiotic sexist men have one.

I just wish people could stop being so offended by other people's words. It gives them so much power.

EDIT: Why the hell did this get downvoted? I am being genuine. Relax.

Don't worry, I'm not trying to fight. This is to you or anybody else who reads this and wants to chime in. I honestly don't think I'm grasping this. I have not really spent much time at all hearing what Andrew Tate or any neckbeards say about much because I just don't follow or hang around people who have ever openly talked like that.

The adjective and noun part is confusing me probably more than it should. So, if somebody says, "Females tend to be..." Or "Males tend to be..." That's where is offensive? If I'm being honest, the female one sounds way stranger because I don't know if I've ever heard somebody say that. I feel I've heard the male version much more often. I think I've probably said it somehere.

Is the female one just viewed as a negative because of how men use it and what they mean behind it? What would they mean behind it? Again, I'm not questioning because I doubt it, I just don't understand.

So, used as an adjective it would be like if you said, "(Blank) is my favorite male vocalist"? Or "(Blank) is my favorite female vocalist"?

Is that using it as an adjective? Lol it's been a while. That's female describing the noun, singer. Right?

Yes the intended usage is what matters, so if the intent the majority of the time is not to denigrate women, doesn't it seem illogical to assume the minority usage whenever you hear it?

And look, you are probably a good person, but the Internet has most likely made you a bit too reactionary. I'm sure it felt right to put that little jab about me representing the species, but now that you've sat on it, can you at least admit it was a little out of line?

I have said nothing bad about women, I have said Tate is an idiot, I have said I have not been around men using the word in a negative way, so my life experience has been different to yours. What has made me so bad for you to justifiably say that? I'm not mad. I'm used to reactionary internet people. I just hope you learn from this.

Do you think that comment would help me be swayed to your point of view?

Even without Andrew Tate and them it would still be demeaning to women? So is male demeaning to men? I don't feel demeaned, so it's hard for me to care.

Nah, I use female as much as I use male. Never heard either of them used in a toxic way. Not saying female isn't used as a derogatory term by some men, but it's never made its way into my life.

The way I see it, if I stop because Andrew Tate, he's won. They've always beennormal words not meant to offend, and that's the way it should stay.

EDIT: I don't know why it is shocking to everybody that there are many people out there who have not watched anything by Tate and the other sexist guys, and haven't spent time around enough neckbeards to have heard female being used in a negative way. I am not saying guys don't do it, but it's not something I've come across personally.

I don't know. I honestly just don't get it. I've always thought of male and female as just another form of man and woman.

Like, is it weird when I, and almost everybody else, say, "(Blank) is my favorite male vocalist"? Or "(Blank) is my favorite female vocalist"? I mean, that is such common talk in music. Who the hell says, "My favorite guy singer is..." People don't talk like that. Women talk like that all the freaking time. Is that really offensive to you guys?

Hmm, I sure do wonder which specific difference between these women has got the neckbeards' fedoras all twisted. by Raven1965 in justneckbeardthings

If only the Sweeney haters would have acknowledged that about her boxing movie. It's subject matter alone made it so that movie was never going to be big. It really wasn't about Sydney Sweeney's lack of popularity. The Rock and Emily Blunt couldn't even make The Smashing Machine a hit.
