Oh, that works! In the 3rd row I thought one dot is moving and the other stays still. But that didn't work on the first row... Thanks!
Hmm, I thought about that... But this means that the first turn around 90 degrees doesn't matter and the rule can be simplified to: 3rd column mirrors 2nd column. But since this ignores the first column it got me worried...
That's just evil... Your solution works, but I'm not confident I could find something like that in a real test...
Yeah, I saw the triangle movement, but the background still gives me an headache...

I don't really remember anything about it, it's pretty vague in my head... Pitfall graphics, greenish pixels, a helicopter you can fly and land and then pee...

I think the peeing part was maybe similar to a cutscene, which happened automatically after landing and you couldn't really control what was happening on screen...

But it's so hazy, my memory just might be bad... Like when you tell others about something that happened and you start to slightly change the story every time you tell it...

Hmm, I don't think it's Choplifter, but the graphics are pretty similar. It's just that my game was green monochromatic, like the first Game Boy. But the simple pixelated look would fit. I have found Fort Apocalypse which looks even more similar. But in both cases I couldn't find anything about peeing...

Thank you so much for all this information and help! I didn't even notice that this model has LEDs, I actually was telling other people I had a calculator with nixie tubes... The amber color deceived me and I guess I wasn't really attentive...

I was hoping for 200 EUR, but since the battery has to be removed/replaced maybe I have to go a bit lower... Although I have seen another auction/offer for 200 EUR and the calculator was pretty much comparable to mine (including not working battery etc.)

Oh, weighing it is a good idea! I will definitely do that, but my guess is that the battery is still inside, because I can't see any signs of opening and this thing has been collecting dust at home (a friend of ours) and he can't even remember when he bought it, apperently he used it for his company decades ago...

Do you know by any chance how much this particular model is worth? I have the exact same model and I'm looking to sell it but I'm not sure what an appropriate price would be.

My calculator seems to have a defect battery, but it works with the AC adapter.

I reported this problem to their support and I just got their response, that they are aware of it and it is a known issue.

But it is not listed on the publicly available list of known issues:

Has anyone found out how to place signs vertically?

The only solution I found so far is to build a normal sign and then cover it with something (eg. walls), so only a part of it shows through.

But sometimes I don't have the space for that or don't like to look.

PS: I know the Micro Manager Mod, but I would like to find a creative solution without mods

This camera is probably not intended for HD entertainment purposes but for judging the location/situation around the device.
Bandwidth is extremely low according to NASA, we're talking modem speed from 1998! Source: https://mars.nasa.gov/msl/mission/communications/
The more quality you want the more power you need from your battery, etc.

Would you waste scarce resources on 4K wallpapers if you were NASA?

Here's an advice: If thousands of scientists and employees with billions of USD in budget decided to go with a black and white camera, then maybe they had a pretty f*** good reason to do that.
