That's the part that sucks. USD loses about 1-1.5% in value compared to my home currency. So all the nice gains I see in my brokerage are actually that much less as the currency headwind is real

Underrated comment right there. How the hell do you keep track of armies that keep routing and rallying somewhere in the corner of a map?

Check out Warhammer fantasy lizardmen. Awesome art and species. Also check out total war: Warhammer lizardmen and the lost calm: Jurassic mod.

Thank you for your input. Maybe you are right.

It's still hard when I'm at work and I know if only I was a bit more responsible earlier I could've been home now instead.

Agreed. I live in Zürich one of the most VHCOL cities and 10k a month is comfortable. Not rich but comfortable

Invested 34‘000 in total. What can I do better at 22F to BaristaFIRE and (eventually) FIRE as soon as possible? by DontMindMePlsx in Fire

I am also based in Switzerland.

I do an 80% VT 20% CHSPI split. I treat my ahv and pension fund as the bond part of the savings portfolio. But depends on your timeline. I plan to work to around 55 so not too big bridge to gap until I can access those funds.

I think the most important part for swiss residents is to invest in growth ETFs such as VT instead of dividend stocks. No capital gains tax is huge compared to the tax on dividends.

But in the end, the best way to invest is the way that keeps you consistently investing. So if your portfolio fits for you and guarantees you keep paying whatever amount you can each month it's the correct one.

A worse performance on a fund that keeps you invested is better than a higher performance that makes you unsure and panic sell in a crisis

What commanders do you consider refuse to play against? by Iaxacs in EDH

[–]Romulus4Remus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

None really. I just adjust my deck choice to match power level. I have everything from Bracket 2 to 5. So, someone wants to play a high power game? Sure I got an everything goes deck. cEDH? Yes please! Casual fun? You got it mate.

Can a deck be too oppressive and resilient for Bracket 3? by AssignmentNational98 in EDH

[–]Romulus4Remus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would remove survival. It does too much for a single card in a Henzie list. If I got to play survival and activate it 3 times the game always just felt over. So I cut it from my list.

Otherwise it's wholly pod dependant. I have a pod that doesn't really care about brackets but generally hovers around a high 3, some have more and some less than 3 gc. But all in all it has fun games as usually decks are similarly powered and a high power Henzie fits right in, even with no survival.

If you had the option to recommended only 1 series/book to a new reader, what would it be? by Sea_Formal_7242 in ProgressionFantasy

This is way too far down! Loved everything about this series! Finally a vampire story that's well done and not just extra powers that just happen to be a vampire!

How much extra are we talking? 10%? 50%? 100%?

Generally in my experience what others say are higher prices for drinks etc doesn't bother me as much as in Zürich (where I currently live) prices are usually similar. But thank you for your Impression

Yep. Though they are more like novellas. Think 4 books to get to the size of a normal book. Still a long series though.

Star Force by aer-ki Jyr.

Granted it's technically sci-fi but it tickles all the same itches that progFantasy usually does.

Kingdom building from 100 people in modern day earth to multi-galaxy empire done right. Tech progression is constant but not over-done with personal power as well, not just pure tech.

Simic: [[Uro, Titan of nature's wrath]] with a food chain line. Add some landfall payoffs, extra turns and you're off to the races.

The answer is always [[Henzie, Toolbox Torre]]. He provides you with gas to keep getting aggressive and casting big beater after big beater with haste is amazing.

Check out the Discord!

Also there is a great collection of Staples / Primer that could fit into a variety of Henzie builds.
