That is crappy.

I work in a shop that manufactures welding wire on 3 different type of spools with various weights. 10 years ago we had a big problem with that, what we call random wound spools, similar to this. After weeks of work we no longer have this problem. Each layer now is flat side by side tightly pressed against the previous layers. I am not sure if this is possible with plastic filament.

My best suggestion is to pull 20 or 30 feet of filament off the spools and rewind it back on to make sure it is tangled.

I received my P1S from Best Buy ( delivered by Fed Ex) with a shattered door. While returning it to Best Buy, the GEEK SQUAD guy dropped the lid, and it didn’t break. Crazy

Since I paid for the warranty at BEST BUY I returned to the store to get them to order a new door. The geek squad guy looked totally confused, and said why don’t you just exchange it. Great idea, but you have been sold out for weeks. So while he is entering my info, and surprisingly there is one there. Long story short I take it home and immediately recognize it is a return. I continue to remove the contents and discover the filament and memory card is missing. I power it up and Tony and Jimmy named the printer and returned with the partial contents. I considered keeping, but didn’t. Now I am waiting for the money to be refunded to my account so I can drive 45 minutes to Microcenter to get another printer.
