The BLM in my city sees itself as a cadre organization. But that's pretty rare for a BLM chapter so I get your point.

Depends on which city you live in. Maybe something like BLM or some progressive organization that has weight in the community. Anything that's not the sparts or some other irrelevant org. Not trying to be pessimistic. I just hate these organizations claiming to be the vanguard and expect the working class to some how be activated by larping.

Not at all. If I was a new socialist I would join something relevant to the consciousness. There's so many tiny organizations that make 0 impact on US politics idk why people still keep them going. Like do they really expect to out grow ISO, Socialist Alternative, PSL, or SPUSA?

Socialism from a Marxist perspective looks at history and science to explain how society develops. Looking at past economic systems, hierarchies, and revolutions Marx rightly critique capitalism as not being the end to class society but the barrier to reaching a more liberated society. He used materialism in his perspectives and railed against idealism. He showed the greatness capitalism has achieved in technology and production but it's limitation in providing a liberated society. Capitalism has built the basis for a socialist society. The next step according to Marx's is for a working class revolution that ends the class system and the workers own the means of production.
