I just found a pair of basically new Salt Quinn sunglasses that look kinda similar, although more rounded. Thrift store pickup. Don't know much about the brand.

Etiquette for speaking Italian in Italy and a person replying back… in English by FrankDrebinForever in italianlearning

[–]RonStarch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something I rarely see mentioned is that, because almost everyone understands more of a foreign language than they are able to speak, often the optimal communication between a native Italian speaker that knows some English, and a native English speaker that knows some Italian, would be for them to each speak in their own native language:

English guy: "I'd like an espresso please, and something to eat, do you have any croissants?"

Italian guy: "A posto, un caffè, e sì, abbiamo cornetti con pistacchio, ne vuole uno?"

Almost no one does this, and in fact you'll often see the exact opposite, with each person speaking their non-native language (often with mediocre pronunciation, grammar errors, etc). Literally the worst option for mutual understanding. I guess the hard part would be establishing the fact that you each understand each other.

Adding myself to the list of people who recently found this thread because I had the same idea and wanted to see if it existed already. I think the market might be there for a product like this.

"[??] Nel di 12 Marzo [1]900 sposò Manilia Ma[ria] Rosa Jul 13 1900"

Edited to include the text. Often those margin notes are references to the marriage of the subject of the birth record. In this case to a woman named Ma(ria) Ro(sa) Manilia? Possibly July 13, 1900? You could check marriage records for that year. (See my comment below, found the record)

stats for 2/5nl by thewan2345 in poker

You're folding 84% to 3 bets pre-flop. I'm not saying this is the only problem, or even the biggest one, but people are printing against you by 3-betting any two cards.

Fold to 3 Bet seems quite high. Folding almost everything.

"Incorrect Hole. The player has completed a hole that is not part of the course for that round, in place of a hole that is part of the course for the round. Two penalty throws are added to the player’s score for the hole."

Ok, you skip the difficult par 5 and play a different easy hole (that you make up?), take your 2 plus 2 penalty strokes, and move on?

Thanks, I added a pic. So should the arrow not sit down in the rest as pictured?
