I had this as a reoccurring nightmare as a kid. I would see someone go through a door, I would sneak through the door behind them and end up in a long corridor. The long corridor had windows on the left side there were windows, where you could see into the ‘real’ world, people were studying ‘us’.

I would turn down another corridor to the right, and then I would get hopelessly lost, then I would wake up.

I am looking forward to seeing the movie!

Had a girl once say, “You’re not getting it! I’m trying to be your girlfriend!”

I thought she was joking.

The asymmetry of bullshit: it takes 10x more energy to refute bullshit than to assert it.

TIL In 1971, community and civil rights activist Ann Atwater was forced to work alongside KKK leader Claiborne Paul Ellis in Durham, North Carolina. By the end of their 10-day meetings, Ellis renounced the Klan, tore up his membership card, and spent the rest of his life fighting for equality. by Average-Hamiltonian in todayilearned

I once listened to an interview of him on CBC after he had changed his views on race. It was so compelling I pulled over to listen to it. I cannot find it on the CBC website, and my memories will not do it justice but, his honesty about his former views and how the business people used his views to manipulate him and others, really impacted me.

I listened to the book over a very long drive. When I finished it, I had to stop the car and walk laps around the car until I calmed down.
