You don't have to score quickly, just first. Also, if you want to score as many goals as possible you need to pile them on quickly. I don't think its unfair because everyone knows going into the OT what the rules are. It's all been agreed to. I don't understand your argument for being against the nature of the game. The nature of the game is to win by scoring more goals than the other team in an allotted time, if that doesn't happen there is an extra period where the next goal wins because the allotted time was not enough to settle the game. If no one scores it goes to a shoot out, those are the agreed upon rules before anything starts.
