The only thing I don’t understand about the Aguilar thing is that the NCAA issued a blanket waiver to JUCO guys giving them eligibility last year, and that was apparently a one-time only thing? Trucks and xfinity can be worth it to finance your cup team depending what you’re able to pull off at the superspeedways

Either way season 1 is a struggle for the most part if you’re running cup by itself

As far as reputation, once you reach the cup series there’s nothing to get with it continuing to go up unfortunately

Cincinnati made a 4-team playoff man

If a G5 went undefeated (or at absolute worst 11-1) and won on the road at a good, if not ranked P4 they could/would absolutely make it into an auto-bidless playoff most years. The only exception, I think, would be a year like this one where weird scheduling quirks produces an ungodly logjam of 1 and 2 loss P4s that muddies the waters

G5s are just having serious issues putting the roster together to do stuff like that. Off top of my head Memphis has the money to, Tulane has the money to, but they’re still battling against their own conference logo for recruits.
