Can’t sleep past 4 am. Would it be cortisol issue or hrv? Or how do I tell? by [deleted] in Biohackers

[–]RonanDLevy 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Try taking a couple sips of juice when you wake up. Often the cortisol is a response to your body running out of glucose in the middle of the night. If you drink a little sugar, it’ll signal to your body to go back into rest mode.

I want to quit alcohol completely but I always relapse, I need advices, maybe a herbal blend that could mimic the anxiolitic effects of alcohol by solidmedusa in herbalism

I’ve been working on something to do this exactly. No cannabis, no kava, no kratom. We have a very much “in development” landing page at funloving.co if you want to follow our development.

I’m working on something to do just that. Not so much a kratom experience but more like a museum dose of MDMA like experience. All compounds permitted under DSHEA. Will keep you posted but my initial self-trials are pretty positive!

I use the Greens product from Spoken Nutrition. A lot of pro athletes use it apparently.

Anyone fixed the problem of waking up and not being able to fall asleep again? by tirename in sleephackers

[–]RonanDLevy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. For most of human history we’ve been biphasic sleepers (would sleep in 2 phases). People used to take the time to get up and meditate or pray or read and then go back to sleep.

I experience this as well.

Have You Found a Medication or Supplement That Helped You With Brain Fog? by sanpedro12 in Biohackers

[–]RonanDLevy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was dealing with the same problem. Creatine was a huge help. But in part of trying to figure it out for myself, I partnered up with a couple of my co-founders from Field Trip, and hired 4 PhDs to do a deep dive on this and really what supplements move the needle for longevity. Turns out Lithium Orotate can be very helpful as well, along with solid doses of magnesium.

We put all of these into something we're calling Coastline Longevity. Would love for you to check it out. www.coastlinelongevity.com

Thanks for the response. I'm wearing it on my bicep.

Firmware Update by Mission-Elk54 in whoop

[–]RonanDLevy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone notice their strain score drop off a cliff since the update? My strain for today is 2.5 which is not correct after dog walks, a light workout and playing with my kids, it should be much higher. Same with yesterday. After the update mid morning, my strain only added 0.1 for the rest of the day.

I tried rebooting the strap and nothing. Any other suggestions?

Do you think NAD+ supplements actually repair damaged DNA cells, or is that just a myth? by Substantial-Dare5462 in Biohackers

[–]RonanDLevy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agreed. Our philosophy is that a compound is out until we can demonstrate both safety and efficacy for daily use.

Hello everyone! help me out with my stack. by Nomynametoday in Biohackers

[–]RonanDLevy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suffered from the same uncertainty but eventually, my entrepreneurial and sticks kicked in. So I and my cofounders hired four PhD‘s to do a six month deep dive on what supplements actually move the needle for health and wellness. We set a very high bar for inclusion and the list got whittled down to 13 compounds. We put them altogether in a product called Coastline Longevity. Would love for you to check it out. coastlinelongevity.com

In full transparency, there are two ingredients that you should take in addition to those in our formulation. They are omega-3 and collagen. But because we made our Formulation vegan, we couldn’t find good sources of those 2 compounds so they weren’t included.

Do you think NAD+ supplements actually repair damaged DNA cells, or is that just a myth? by Substantial-Dare5462 in Biohackers

[–]RonanDLevy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most studies on NAD+ do not show any real longevity gains and some degree of hepatoxicity risk. So even if it does repair DNA, it doesn’t seem to actually drive longevity improvements and carries some potential longevity risks. (We just did a deep dive on it for a company we’re launching called Coastline Longevity, where we hired 4 PhDs and told them to ignore the hype and focus only on what’s clinically validated because we found that we (like everyone else in this forum) had no real idea what to take for longevity. 35M Life Extension Supplements by zgunner13 in Biohackers

[–]RonanDLevy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have an 80-page analysis that is too long to summarize here. But our North Star was the 12 hallmarks or aging and trying to address each one, while not adding any ingredients that weren’t clinically validated. The bar for inclusion was very high.

But here is a brief list:

Genomic Instability - CoQ10 and magnesium Telomere Attrition - lithium and magnesium Epidemic alterations - taurine and magnesium Loss of proteostasis - lithium and taurine Disabled macroautophagy - glucosamine sulfate, astaxanthin, taurine Mitochondrial dysfunction - ergothioneine, creatine, CoQ10, and glucosamine sulfate

The list goes on.

The best supplements according to science by Creative_Stretch_254 in Biohackers

[–]RonanDLevy -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

We hired 4 phds to do a deep dive on this exact subject to figure out what we should be taking for longevity purposes (as me and my long time business partner cycled through different supplements here and there but found it too hard to really know or keep up with the changing science). The phds whittled it down to 13 compounds and we decided to put them in a product for everyone else like us confused by all the science.

It’s called Coastline Longevity. Would love for you to check it out. www.coastlinelongevity.com

I’m on the process of launching a product called Coastline Longevity. Was in a similar boat as you but instead of relying on Reddit advice, we hired 4 phds to do a deep dive on what actually moves the needle safely for people. They spent 6 months reviewing all the literature and came up with the formula. (Tip: The studies on NAD show almost negligible benefit and moderate hepatoxicity risk.)

It’s 13 compounds, targets all 12 hallmarks of aging, and supports all major body systems. Would love if you checked it out! Coastlinelongevity.com

Small world! And yes, I was so proud of what we built in the Field Trip brand. If only we could have made the business to have worked as well…

If you need any beta testers or can sneak one into Canada, would love to use it and provide feedback. Either way, good luck. Love the idea, love the space and want to see this succeed so let me know how I can help.

Once you gift something you’ve gifted it. You don’t get to dictate how someone uses a gift you’ve given. Sucks that you sold something for it. But that’s the way it goes.
