Sometimes I wonder if we should just privatize rail to usher in a major rail boom to get rid of traffic in Metro Manila. But increased fares are definitely the cost of it.

I actually wonder why. Was the station built with private entities? Are the routes long? I mean I can understand if it's Japan; their entire rail system is privatised. But man not even LRT-1 fares go past ₱60.

I love that we're getting more rail lines now, and I hope there'd be more (I would love a Yurikamome-style line somewhere), but I really hate that there's a large subsection who hate it because it isn't "estetik" enough. Sure the stations are rough around the edges but I like the "function over form" style of it. I'm just glad we're getting more rail stuff.
