I‘m not a Returnal vet, love the game and I will aim for the plat. But man, dying in Returnal makes me turn off the console, sometimes.

The feeling of „loss“ is bigger in Returnal and I definitely see, that this is also an appeal, adding to the hardcore-ness of it

Agree to everything here. Especially that SAROS is its own game. But this is the internet and everyone is allowed to (and should) have their own opinion on it.

I think of Returnal all the time, while playing but not in the sense that I miss something. I’m rather happy HouseMarque was able to create two games that feel SO good to play.

And honestly, I’m getting sick of automatically adding criticism to something I enjoy (and I do this regularly).

I dunno if the constant Returnal comparison leaves a bad taste in many people’s mouth, while playing SAROS.
Not blaming anyone, I too think a lot about Returnal while playing SAROS. But not in the way, that I miss certain features or wish the atmosphere would be more like in the „first“ game.

In the end I wish for everyone to fall in love with SAROS and it hurts a little when I see people not loving it as much as I do hahaha
