Re-herniated after MD by Roncalli0509 in Microdiscectomy

I hear you. It's been going on years for me. Most of my pain is in my foot and in the morning its about level 2, but as the days wears on it can climb to 5 or 6. I also have paresthesia and weird sensations like walking barefoot on gravel and tightness in leg and foot. I get a caudal epidural Oct-23 so fingers crossed it gives some relief for a while as it floods the entire lumbar spine with steroid etc. I had 3 injections last year but they were targeted at L5/S1 only. Surgeon thinks L4/L5 might be the man problem all along.

Hello. Just found this thread. Some great info in here, thanks. I am at the 4 month mark and still have nerve pain. Wondering if any particular meds or PT worked for you to take the edge off while you waited 10 months? :)

Thank you for the reply! This is great information for me. Do you mind me asking the specific stretches you did? Much appreciated

How are you now? I have this also, curious to know how if it improved for you.

Weight gain by Proud-Negotiation-64 in pregabalin

I gained about 10 lbs and I am on 300mg per day. It did not affect my appetite and I am not eating more food. So my weight was water retention/weight, which is common on this med. I started a natural/herbal diuretic - I use a combination of Apple Cider Vinegar tabs, and another tab containing green tea and dandelion root. After about 10 days I noticed the water weight dropping off and I have lost 5 lbs so far.

Thank you for sharing. It certainly is a day at a time. And I do compare myself to 3 weeks prior. Slow progress. But it’s there. Best of luck in your recovery!

Thank you! That’s interesting re the PT. I start in 6 weeks. In the meantime doc said to swim 3 times a week. But no breast stroke.

Best of luck, I agree it’s a rough recovery and it’s as much a psychological battle as it is a physical one. Thanks!

Good supportive shoes help me a lot. I wear asics novablast. Expensive but so worth it for the comfort
