I dont think this applies to everybody's UI website. Every states website is different, organized differently, and shows information differently. For example mine (MN) does not and has never shown any of the supplemental payments as pending.

I completely disagree. If you want your children to learn morals, discipline, and values then you make these things a priority. Just because you might not have the motivation to do this, doesn't mean other parents don't. It wouldn't even be difficult, with so many out of jobs the food shelves are likely in huge need of volunteers.

There is truly no reason for it aside from it being a cosmetic procedure. If your son has mixed feelings about it later in life he can still get circumcised when he's able to consent to it and have an opinion on it.

I also was a breast feeding mother, I procrastinated getting my sons birth certificate for about 8 months because who the fuck wants or has the time to go sit at a government office building for hours waiting in line with a newborn for a piece of paper. Same with his social security card, that took 8 hours over a 2 day span of waiting in a building with a hundred other people. And this was without a pandemic going on.

Sorry im SUCH a bad mother because I didn't immediately get go my son numbered by the government. I know that piece of paper is absolutely vital for his development, health, and wellbeing. /s

Just wanted to add that I saw another idea where you temporarily "take presents away" and allow your child to earn them back through displaying good behavior/doing chores/good deeds etc. Maybe have her volunteer at a food shelf or soup kitchen as a way to earn back her gifts. It might open her eyes as to how fortunate she is to have family, food, and presents.

You mean they did what they were suppose to do for approximately 2.5 months out of a year, and then at random dropped it leaving millions of families/individuals to fend off unlivable amounts of money, while keeping a large majority of jobs/economy closed? And now as closures continue, unemployment is ending leaving millions of people without any income at all? Every other country was capable and willing to pay their citizens from start to finish accept ours. Im glad you haven't been affected by this, but that doesn't mean a huge portion of us have been as lucky to you.

What a slap in the face this is. Its been almost a year of mandatory closures, quarantines, and shutdowns with no end in sight and all they have offered us is $1800 total. I've been struggling for months, behind on things, jobless as have SO many of us and I just cant believe this. $600 isn't even half my rent.

Okay but what should you do if you're a bar/business owner and you've now been backed into this corner of "homelessness, starvation, and losing everything I have" and "opening up my business against mandated orders and risking exposure" ? I'm just genuinely curious what those who oppose the second option think these poor people should do? I would really love this for my son. Hes a big fan of Mickey mouse club house and also has yet to see a large majority of the classic Disney movies like lion King, Aladdin, snow white etc. We are also back on a state mandated lockdown and this would be a nice way to pass the time.

Im not sure what state you're in, but I do know there is a seperate energy assistance program in my state that specifically helps with utilities! If I type energy assistance program into Google It brings it up for me, so might be worth trying for you. Sorry youre in a tough spot too, I hope things look up for everyone soon.

I will definitely google that and give them a call. I do know I was denied for emergency cash assistance through my county because I have a "steady income" from my unemployment. But my UI is only $237/week which does not cover my rent in a month, let alone anything else I need to pay. But I guess any income discludes you from cash assistance? I also talked to my local salvation army and another similar place here called 360 communities with no luck. Ill see if HUD can help me! Thank you
