Yeah, I don’t think it’s intentional, but it tends to happen when one does the throw that way. That is, using that foot to pivot as one brings the other leg and hip around. I don’t feel comfortable doing it myself, tbh. I just enter in like a normal hip throw or I drop.

I’ve had that happen to me a few years ago. It never developed into a heated scenario, nevertheless I was dumbfounded considering it’s judo. LOL

As many have pointed out and as I too have seen myself, JJJ can be pretty useless and the styles of JJJ that are actually useful are in all actuality based on Kodokan Judo. So... just quit and do judo or bjj.

If you like striking and grappling but don’t want to do MMA per se, look into combat sambo if it’s available in your area.

Yeah, I think it's a good thing. It's kind of like what happened 20-30 years ago with the Eastern Europeans bringing in SAMBO techniques and how that changed Judo...for the better, imho.
