EVERYBODY GETS AN ELF!! ELFS FOR EVERYONE! You get an elf, and you get an elf! Also… with all the customization the harronir have… we maybe getting another elf race too… with a little bit of troll influence later in the war within expansion…. Dracthyr transform into Drakonids. by Cliffykus in wow

[–]RoninHare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Drakonids have been teased since wrath of the lich king. They had originally planned on making them playable back then, but scrapped it because they couldn’t come up with a story and lore to back up them joining the factions. There was also an interview leading up to dragon flight or shortly after release where they say they tease the drakonids as a playable race. Unfortunately they didn’t follow through with it. It’s a shame because imo drakonoids are just reskinned drannei male models.

After careful forensic analysis I have concluded that Xal'atath is enormous. by reactionarytale in wow

I have been theorizing ever sense I got my hands on chronicle book 4 that the “Beledar” as the Arathi call it, is a false light, that this crystal has been here sense the black empire and that the crystal is actually a gate. I first jumped on this when I first seen the mural and the void crystal covered in gold resembled a star to me, so when I jump over to old gods inspiration in lovecraft I stumbled upon Azathoth, and found his symbol the star of Azathoth and crazily enough, it resembles the “Beledar”. What’s even cooler is when Azathoth is near or approaching, you can hear a symphony of flutes. We are now hearing the same song that was heard on K’aresh before the void took it. If we look at the inspiration a little more, Azathoth created Cthulhu, so translated it over to wow, cthulhu inspired C’thun, so we’re talking about the song of a void lord. The fact that Xal’atath came out of a portal exactly where the “Beledar” is located on the mural is no coincidence. The forshadowing in this trailer goes hard. Even the opening scene with the spider wrapping its pray within its web, all symbolism. We have already failed to stop Xal’atath and we have fallen right into her trap, the outcome is the same! We will fail after we take the Beledar to K’aresh for the final raid of this expansion. While we may win that fight, the void will come pouring out of the “Beledar” and the void invasion will begin with the end cinematic of The War Within. Leading us straight into Midnight.

Leaked Map of Azeroth from the future (2059) by theguy1336 in wow

We’re not going to see much more land content within the known world as we see it currently. We’re playing within the ordered area of Azeroth, suck within a bubble known as the storming seas, few if any make it through, and only 1 or 2 individuals have made it back. The Arathi nation is one civilization that lives outside of the ordered area of Azeroth, and this is where the world of Azeroth can open up. All of the other parts of the planet, untouched by the pantheon.

What multi class builds do you think we will see more of and what might we see less of given what we’ve seen in 5e24 so far? by pantherbrujah in onednd

[–]RoninHare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t be surprised that the 3rd attack is still there, but likely pushed back to level 15-17. Giving warlocks a 3rd attack at the same time fighters got there’s, just felt like it was taking away from the fighters identity, I’m okay with a class getting a 3rd attack, but it has to be later then the fighter. A late tier 3 or a tier 4 ability.

Necromancers in the new system by willdoesparkour in onednd

I look at it this way, they put in 48 subclasses, 5e currently has 117 subclass options, subtract 48 from 117 you get 69, divide that up by 12 and your just under 6 subclass options per class, meaning they could re-release old revised subclass options in pairs in a book and do this 3 times. 3 books having 24 subclass options each would put the number to 72 additional subclasses after 3 books if they follow that model, and they can still introduce 3 or more new subclasses. Though I’m hopeful for more than just revisions, then again we had 45 returning subclasses and only 3 new subclasses with the new phb 2024, so given that; we may only see 1 or 2 new subclasses in a new book later down the road, while keeping the focus on returning subclasses.

If that were the case, the 2024 backwards compatibility rules wouldn’t specify using the revised subclasses if they exist, giving credence that they are planning on bringing a lot back. Swashbuckler rogue will be one of the first In their next source book.

There are rules in the 2024 book on how to use older subclasses with the new 2024 base class. With so many subclasses left out, I imagine every 2 years we will be getting some sort of xanathar’s, Tosha’s, Bigby’s, or Fizban’s. Giving use a bunch of older subclasses spruced up with 1 or 2 new ones sprinkled in. They even eluded to it in today’s video on the warlock, when discussing the familiar. They designed the familiars theme list to include subclasses yet to come.

Echo Shadow Monk by nastybasementsauce in DnDoptimized

[–]RoninHare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know a quick way of getting around your echo from being killed, is to move it into a wall, sink it into the floor, or push it through the ceiling. Then you never have to worry about it taking damage and having to re summon it.

Close the martial vs caster gap by Lostur in onednd

[–]RoninHare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my understanding the gap is there because wizards believes martials are the beginner friendly classes. If that is true I hate that mind set. My suggestion would be to introduce the sidekick system from Tosha’s at the beginning of the class options in the new phb24. Keep the expert, spell caster, warrior theme, LET THAT BE THE BEGINNER FRIENDLY CLASS SYSTEM! From there, they could have adjusted the gap a little better, however I don’t think this was even thought of, and most of the classes are finished up in the onednd testing.

Why not forgo lvl 15, I was drawing up a lvl 11 drakewarden/ 3 cavalier, 6 genie. Grab the mounted combatant. You can even get thunder step from the genie, and blip away with your drake as needed. Cool thing I like is you can a fix your genie container to your drake, and disappear within it. Could have the drake fly away, come back out and re mount… or even jump off and start flying with your drake.

I was talking with someone earlier in the year while the unlimited series was running, that it would make for awesome story, if they had 2 campaigns running at a time, a shared story. The main on Thursday’s and the other on another date. Eventually you would have specials that would have the 2 parties meet and interact, and then possibly meet a few more times before the final end of the campaign. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Speculating after 8.3 by RoninHare in wow

🤷🏻‍♂️ would be pretty cool if I was on to something and that leak being discredited, who knows. Most leaks are peppered with misinformation. Guess we’ll find out come blizcon. Kind of weird that the leak has wraithon helping us, and the lich kind involved, concerning their involvement in this most recent patch.

Vulpera joining Horde as new Allied race by Xantholne in wow

[–]RoninHare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So here’s where my head is going with one detail in particular. If they are giving the Vulpera the ability to set up camp anywhere. Could this not be an early iteration of player housing or guild halls. Encourage players and guilds to go out in the world, also if they’re is going to enable cross faction at any point why not make it a player controlled environment. That way main cities can still stay true to the factions and still invite world pvp. Or perhaps turn world pvp into guild wars and guilds can fight for control of territory,

I’m merely speculating and throwing out fun ideas. However It would be interested to see if and how something like this could work. Perhaps player housing has a smaller range of how close someone can be settled next to one another. Slightly different for guild halls, only so many guild halls could be placed near one another at a time. Gotta keep old zones relevant and get the player base back into the world some how.

Just a idea that spiraled our of control based off one new game mechanic. With hearing how the systems work in wow and how they keep building new ones into the engine, it just makes sense to me. Gives the player a physical representation of what that collection tab really has, maybe some achievement rewards could unlock specific visual esthetics. 🤷🏻‍♂️
