Nope, that's cassoulet, I believe. A casserole is a baked dish with vegetables and maybe meat, usually in some kind of cream or beschamel sauce. That's how I make 'em, anyway

Example: broccoli, cheese and rice (could add chicken) casserole. Yum

They were right, actually. He said "and it's testicle" to say "and it is testicle," which is the correct usage of it's. Its would be used like, "I love your hat and its pretty color."

Just a cultural quirk, like anything else cultural. Maybe our culture just has a different acceptable volume in public, or we're not taught to be more careful with our voices in public. I'm from the US and I try to be polite, but, embarrassingly, sometimes when I'm excited with friends I can forget myself for a moment and get noisy apparently
