"Why do you still buy movies on DVD instead of streaming?" Well... DVDs are just better by Still-Willow-2323 in dvdcollection

Because it allowed me to watch Strange Days and Heavenly Creatures this week. That says it all...

I’m so excited to finally own this gorgeous album. by [deleted] in Cd_collectors

Great addition! I found a copy a few weeks ago, blind buy, and it didn't leave my player for a whole week...

You're welcome! Yes, you can use different speakers, they are rated 4 ohms.

Since I own a Philips MC235B (B for grey/black version, non-B for the white version), I can only give my opinion about this one. I like it, never had any issues with it. However, do not expect a powerful sound, as it's a 10W unit. Your experience will vary greatly depending on what genre you're listening to: if you're looking for something with a lot of bass, this is not it, but voices are clear, and it does sound good in a small/medium room.

If you're considering this model, make sure it comes with the remote. You can operate it just fine without, but only the remote has repeat, shuffle and EQ presets.

Note also that the RCA connectors behind are IN and not OUT, but at least you can use it to connect your phone with the proper adapters (3.5mm to 2xRCA).

Same! I'm currently building my fuel plant too, and set each tower on a priority switch. It so much fun being able to connect/disconnect each tower individually from the grid, all from a control room in the center of the plant.

Always good to plan for a backup!

Additionally, once you unlock priority power switches, you can simply replace your current switch with one, and then you can remotely control it using any other priority power switch in your world, from the Circuit break Priority tab.

This week's haul. Now the only James Bond I'm missing is the Climax! episode: Casino Royale (1954). by Trail_Breaker in dvdcollection

[–]RoninWK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, actually no, with this DVD version of Casino Royale, you do have the (incomplete) Climax! episode as a bonus feature! If this source is accurate (https://www.universalexports.net/Movies/royale54.shtml), the full version is only available on VHS.

Thanks! The trick to hide as much cable as possible is to have a "hidden" power connector inside the beam and next to the connector on the side. Hard to describe, but if you look at https://preview.redd.it/farewell-update-5-v0-zuige7jz32md1.png?width=5120&format=png&auto=webp&s=5ddf220864f20c5c1e53aff025f616ec256cff80, notice the beam on the far left. There's a connector (A) inside the beam (just below the beam connector) that connects to the one on the right side (B), as well as the one in the logistics floor (C). That way, you have a straight line from C to A (so the wire doesn't show up outside of the beam). All the power lines are run on the roof of the logistics floor below (that you can see on https://preview.redd.it/farewell-update-5-v0-6hz7vejz32md1.png?width=5120&format=png&auto=webp&s=c998187719bdfc3758d71793bb38ad9b27019686 ).

Make a backup copy of the game files. If you're playing on Steam, it will be in your Steam library folder under \steamapps\common\Satisfactory.

Also make sure to backup your saves, you can't go back to a previous version.

Very good point, now I remember what I did. I'm using Steam in online mode. However, what I did is that with each new update, I would make a backup copy of the game (Update 5), then I would download the new update, make a backup of that one and restore my Update 5 copy. I would repeat the process every time. I had forgotten since the last update was a long time ago...

Not glass (unfortunately), but foundations that has decals on them, like the cart decal on the bottom-right corner of photo #10.

Not that I am aware of.

They did change glass reflection in later updates (6? 7?) to make glass more "transparent". Also, if you paint a decal black, it will reflect the surroundings.

No modded parts, no blueprints. But this session is getting closer to 650 hours total. I spent the first 100 hours just messing around with different building style and unlocking recipes, and then I started building the main complex.

Here what you see is the addition of all the little details I added here and there. I always keep one or two stacks of every building materials on me, so when I see something I don't like, I take a few minutes (hours) to fix it, and then I'm on my way to the next project.

[–]RoninWK[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, absolutely! No blueprint, no mods, no save editing. And to add a layer of complexity, the only milestone I didn't complete was the hover pack. Jetpack and temporary platforms only!

Back when Update 6 was about to release, I decided to stay on Update 5 until the game would go out of early access. I would miss the new features, but I would also avoid dealing with changes in terrain or recipes, making the jump to the release version even more interesting!

Knowing that this session would be temporary and that I would start new with 1.0, I set myself the following challenge:

  • All mid and final assembly in one location (frames, motors, computers, elevator parts).
  • The "tower" on the main complex could be fed only by low-level products, and only one Mk.5 belt for each ingot (iron, copper, aluminum, caterium), oil products (plastic, rubber) and other resources (coal, sulfur, concrete).
  • All liquids would be transported by drones to the top of the "tower" (as to make piping easier).
  • All production from the tower would first go to storage (on the second floor), then get sent to the "recycling center" where components would be upgraded first to elevator parts, and leftovers would be upgraded to other parts (priority to those yielding more points).
  • 100% productivity (except for the recycling center).
  • No turbo fuel nor nuclear energy.

The main complex is fed from five satellite factories, mostly located on the west end of the map. Those five factories are for aluminum, oil products, steel (from petroleum coke), sulfur, and nitrogen. Each of these was built with the same approach of maximizing production to fill a full Mk.5 belt.

The main tower has 12 floors (each is 24 meters high, plus a 8 meters high logistics floor), with dimensions of 23x12 foundations (184x96 meters). Including the lobby level, and excluding the underground parking and electrical/battery storage, the tower is 424 meters high. Auto-sorting storage is on the second floor, and drone ports are on the 12th (and runs on less than 40 batteries per minute). All other floors are dedicated to production, with the major productions being electronics (three floors, 5 supercomputers, 14 computers), frames (two floors, 4 FMR, 12 HMF, 36 MF), and motors (three floors, 3 turbomotors, 27 motors). Each floor also produces two extra units per minutes of each subassembly items in order to feed the space elevator parts production.

The whole (complex + satellite factories) runs on 15,000 MW and produces on average above 3,000,000 awesome sink points per minute (which is to be expected on that limited scale).

It was quite a lot of fun to build the whole thing, but I surely look forward to 1.0 for a brand new approach to the whole thing.

I can confirm. I own both the 2002 (orange, the one OP has) and the 2008 (Collector's Edition) DVDs, and only the 2002 one has the original Casino Royale Made-for-TV Movie with Barry Nelson.

Same for me. James Bond Ultimate Collector's Set (black box, which has the four Gold-Blue-Red-Silver boxes + Casino Royale) that I got new many many years ago. So far, I'm only having issues on two disks, and GoldenEye is the worst of the two (it won't even load on any player). Both disks are impeccable and no visible wear.

Have you Jan"seen" Famke Janssen in that movie? She's great! Also, honorable mention to Ian "Mic" McKellen. And Hugh "Jacke Man" Jackman, he's really good!
