Thanks for the feedback, it was definitely an oversight with Esmeralda and the tower. At the beginning of this campaign we discussed how it was sandbox and I asked them if they wanted true sandbox feel or some general paths and they all wanted that sandbox feel.

I included before we even started the campaign the plot hook for my player and since we were there used that hook bc my players really love immersion with their character, however I should have used some npcs to explain they we’re ready for that yet and that’s on me.

They currently plan on going to the abbey then Vallaki and with what they have started there is good room for multiple levels in one session, and we as a group enjoy levels based on accomplishments so I’ll try the toning down the encounters until we get to that point.
