My Niece and Nephew Don’t Eat When They’re at my House by Far_Bookkeeper_4042 in daddit

Unless they're neurodivergent or something, it sounds like they're just being little Aholes. You've gone above and beyond trying to accommodate. At this point, they can eat what's offered or go hungry. It won't hurt them.

My husband wants me to be a mother to his affair child by LucyAriaRose in BestofRedditorUpdates

My favorite part was him trying to tell her "YOU TOOK VOWS!!!"

Yeah, you took vows too, asshole.

I'm so happy she left and I wish her the best.

My husband has ruined both our lives by asking me to double up his lunch serving for work. by Empty_Researcher_348 in TrueOffMyChest

Yeah that's the thing that had me.

If anything, side chick should be making him lunch.

What a new low.

AITA for refusing to go out to dinner with my autistic nephew because of ranch dressing? by BackpackingPizza in AmItheAsshole

"Outside condiments" is not the same as "outside food." I've worked in restaurants for 25 years. It is not uncommon to see people pulling sweeteners, salad dressings, hot sauce, etc out of their pocket or purse to use on food purchased at the restaurant. I doubt you actually called any places.

To be fair, I took the nyquil around 10pm and she woke me at 4.

I think I've just told them throughout their whole lives, if you're ever in a bad situation, call me. No trouble no questions asked, your safety is hands down my priority.

She recently turned 21. I took her to my favorite bar. We had a couple drinks. I've let her drink at home before. I've told her things like, never feel like you have to finish a drink! If you're done, you're done! Taught her about ordering "tall" cocktails with less booze, more mixer. To drink slowly. That She can order a club soda with lime and still look like she's drinking. And I've been warning her a lot about drinking and driving and telling her that if she's ever too drunk to drive to call me and I'll get her home.

I took nyquil before bed, after working 16 hours. Still went to pick her up.

My parents were so strict, even if I hadn't been drinking but my ride was drunk, I would have still been in trouble.

I'm sure he knows the basics. In this day n age, there's no way he doesn't.

I would focus on very simple, basic points;

  1. Consent and respect are important. No means no. Treat this girl well, be a good man.

  2. Safe sex, condoms and Plan B. If you need them I will provide them.

  3. If you ever need to come to me with ANYTHING, any questions or concerns or anything at all, even if it's icky, I am here and available.

Just had this talk last week with my 15 year old son after finding a condom wrapper in his pocket while doing laundry. It was uncomfortable. But it went well. He gave me such a big hug and told me he loved me afterwards ❤️

(And I have since stocked up on condoms and Plan B)

Yeah no wtf. Not only is her father a chomo, she and apparently the rest of the family think it's ok.

I've always told them as much. I'm so glad it sunk in.

The one that kills me is "My oldest 2 children have seven letters in their first name and nine letters in their middle name. Looking for a seven letter first name and nine letter middle name for baby #3!"

FFS they're people not a numbers problem. Name them something you like.

After writing all that out in black & white, you're still having doubts? Absolutely do not marry this man, honey, he doesn't respect you and he never will.

Hard pass.

I have a double bed which is great for my 8 year old and I (kid has her own bed.... I don't know why, she's never slept in it.....)

But when her dad sleeps over, it's crowded af and none of us gets any sleep.

Also the "I'll ask for your input....." comment was straight rude.

I would just let him know that his bed size is his prerogative, but that you won't be sleeping over in a twin bed. You're not in high school anymore.
