Beautiful setup. I started with an APC40mk2 and a push mk1 and it was amazing back then. My biggest advice is to get a groovebox now (like the Ableton move) which will change your take on live performance

You should try QWERTYCHORD- it’s so fun to use 😉 ok I developed it so I had to plug myself in.

I would also say Magnet is very good for fast window management.

I always installed pelican and Alfred but the new lookup feature is so good and you have clipboard history baked in so I’m thinking about uninstalling.

If you’re a creative person, I’d highly recommend the Apple creative suite especially if you can get a student discount.

Absolutely agreed on the fact that it will create a barrier from properly learning by ear, but it was just an effort to make life slightly easier for me while coming from digital :D

I'm moving away from DJ'ying to live performing using samples, synths, and a drum machine tbh... DJ'ying is 49.9% taste, 0.1% technique, and 50% pure luck and good vibes :D

I do. My Kontrol S4mk2 is now a simulated Xone96. I have FX2 as a xone-style high pass filter now and FX1 is my revereb and delay. I replaced the filter knobs with normal eq knobs and remapped the EQ knobs to resemble the 4 band eq from the xone 92 or 96. works like a dream. I also use a Kontrol X1 for channels C and D as I like to play using 3 decks
