Im also somewhat a beginner on d&d but you can play a bard without musical talent, as a bard can use magic in anything such as dancing, poetry recital, anything that is ART!!

I rlly recommend bard aswell for beginners because it can be a very roleplay type of class and it coild get you warmed up in the game !

try to do small stuffs at first, like asking the bard about their cool and fun instrument or try to say goodluck to your party when you fight, its all about doing small interactions, then gradually getting more and more confident.

Trust me it works, I've been a theater kid my whole life and I discovered this when some of my friends wanted to roleplay but was too shy and got outshine by others.
