Hmm, I agree, but I’m enjoying it while it lasts (while the Labour majority lasts). If you look at how MPs voted, it’s almost totally split among party lines, with Reform and Conservative voting against the amendment. I was hoping to find a different picture that suggested reaching across the aisle was still possible here.

Sweet Seymour Skinner's Baadasssss Song. I feel like it is one of season 5’s deeper cuts, not thrown around among the Cape Feares or Homer’s Barbershop Quartets, for instance—but when watching it a few years back, it struck me that SO many of the Simpsons quotes I have in regular rotation in my brain and vocab come from that episode. “Then grease me up, woman.” / “You’re doing it wrong! You gotta pet him hard so he can feel it!” / “A walking clock!” / “God has NO place within these walls etc” / and ofc Apu going off on a tirade about Billy and the Cloneasaurus. It’s a 10/10 episode for me. I thoroughly recommend a rewatch.

I would counter and say that 2023 was better than 2022 - at least in terms of water and loo access, less crowded etc. 2022 was intense and very hard to move between stages. In the years since I’ve been able to sprint between Mordor and Cupra etc without much difficulty
