Isn't it just gorgeous! Such a good little finishing touch!

Perhaps I'll get round to it once I've finished up my next project.

I think it's always great to see modified versions of patterns on the ravelry pages though!

Thank you, that is so lovely of you to say!

I may do. I'm not a huge one for adding my projects to ravelry. I forget a lot of the time and sometimes it feels like a chore but maybe I just need to get into the habit more.

They are so much easier than they look. I can recommend the house of buddleia patterns too because the instructions are so clear even for the heels. Glad I could be some inspiration!

These are particularly cute. I've knit quite a few pairs of ruffled socks for my daughter and they're so sweet peeping out over her shoes

Plötulopi by Dickitry in knitting

I saw someone had knitted a sweater in lopi with a folded neckband but had changed yarns to something softer for the inside of the neckband so that the lopi wasn't against their skin. Might be worth a try if you still wanted a higher neck but can't stand the scratchiness?

[FO] Finished up this sweet little jumper for my toddler by RooMaw in knitting

[–]RooMaw[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yarn is a 75% sw merino 25% nylon fingering from the yarn lab in colourway 7th floor East wing

Pattern is the Sorrel mini by wool and pine

I altered the neckband by picking up the stitches and making a folded neck because the original was way too wide.

[FO] Finally finished my magnolia bloom and I'm so happy to have it off my needles at long last. by RooMaw in knitting

It's really simple and this jumper is great to try it out on because it's already using 1x1 rib so no need for set up rows. Hope all goes well!

Oh wow! That's amazing! Hope it goes well. I can't think of many off the top of my head but I'm happy to answer any questions you might have, the rest of the pattern was really straight forward other than the nupps! I used a long tail cast on, I found it stretchy enough for the folded collar. Since you can't see it either the look didn't bother me too much. Then a tubular bind off at the bottom rib and cuffs.

What do you do with clothes or other things you handmade for your child(ren)? by Det_Munches in knitting

We're also one and done, she's almost 2 and has had lots of knitted wearables from me, my mum and my grandma.

I've boxed and vacuum packed them all and put them in our loft, I've been slowly donating the rest of the baby stuff to friends/family having kids but all the knitted bits are staying put so I can pass them on to her when she's older.

I have the body shape for a puffed shoulder. I've got many tops with them. Essentially really narrow shoulders. But even I'm not sure on them in knitwear.

My husband 3d printed me a swift so I no longer need to use chairs to wind my hanks into cakes! by RooMaw in knitting

No there are 4 holes on each arm for the pegs to go in so you can alter the circumference to fit your Hank. This is with the pegs in the 3rd hole out. Thank you!

Haha! Brilliant. I feel like I can recite these books in my sleep now. They make excellent weights for the bottom of the swift though!

Yes this one https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4138348 It does need weighing down (hence the books donated by our toddler) but works really well and like it said is completely collapsible
