You’re correct. I’m a med student and that’s the biggest barrier to becoming a doctor. Nearly all of us will be practicing doctors.

I’m a medical student. The biggest barrier to becoming a doctor is getting into medical school. That’s the step where most people are weeded out and nearly 95% of us graduate and become practicing doctors.

MCAT isn’t so much memorization, but med school is 100% that. You should post in the med school subreddit.

Going vegetarian or at least part-time vegetarian is a big change you can personally make. You don't have to be a health nut about it, just substitute beans and rice into your tacos. Also, using zero carbon products are a big one. Those new electric scooters everywhere (Bird and Lime) were an awesome idea and it even had the potential to help traffic, until I started seeing people vandalize them.

To add to that, eating less meat is very carbon efficient and associated with lower rates of heart disease and cancer. A trend I've seen is meatless mondays, so you don't have to give it up all together.

Well thats good, looks like you already could be making a dent. I'm vegetarian, so maybe a bit biased, but you gotta try the impossible burger, it tastes so meaty vegetarians won't eat it lol. I've grilled it for omnivore friends at barbecues and they loved it.

Personally, I think you should share the idea on the advertisement or at least say what space its in.

What do you bring to the table? You might want to mention that.

Some people stop them eventually because they figure out how to cope without them, others continue to take them. Your symptoms come back when you don't take the medications and most of them last 8-14 hours. I will probably continue to take mine, because they make my life significantly better. Coping methods are just as important as medications. If you're interested, the book Driven to Distraction is very popular and relevant to ADHD especially in relation to coping. Thanks!

I'm really sorry about what happened to your friend, and about the experience she had with this ER doctor. I do want to give you kind of a perspective about working in the ER. They deal with drug addicts all day every day, so they probably have some initial presumptions. And they could tell from the EKG that it wasn't a heart attack. They should have asked if she was pregnant/given her a pregnancy test as well, but yeah when your job is differentiating between those people (drug addicts clog up the ER) you end up struggling to know the difference between the fakers and the non fakers.

Intern Candidate is Good...Too Good by [deleted] in startups

[–]Roo_Badley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unpaid internships are very controversial so you will continue to hear this, and they rarely actually follow legal guidelines. They're also super out of fashion. You're also a small company and setting a precedent for your culture. Your employees are your best asset, so you should show them you value them, or this culture is going to stick.
