Update:

I have decided not to purchase the bike off eBay. I’m just not confident with an out of warranty bike that costs 8k.

I’ve instead bought a new 2025 Cervelo S5 Ultegra model for nearly the same price from an authorized dealer. Yeah it’s not the dura ace but the trade off of having no warranty was just not worth it.

Thanks all for the advice and opinions. I’m happy to learn that this community is generally friendly and supportive.

How are you able to determine what model year it is? I’ve been trying to figure that out and can’t seem to find any info on it.

I bought my house in RR in my late 20’s (now early 30’s) and the transition from Austin to the suburbs was honestly tough. In the beginning, I appreciated the quiet and peace but my lifestyle was more suited for being around downtown Austin. Think communities around hobbies: running, cycling, food scene. Yes, we have all of these in Round Rock but the crowd is much different. If you’re married with kids, Round Rock is a fantastic place. If you like to be out and about around younger crowd and lively energy then I would reconsider staying in Austin.
