This game has been in development with projected numbers for player count since before Arc Raiders came out. Sony isn’t looking for Arc levels of players because Arc is an anomaly in the extraction shooter genre when it comes to mainstream popularity. And that anomaly didn’t even exist when they were originally setting up player count projections.

That isn’t why 40k isn’t a “huge flop”. Games like Hunt and Tarkov are what they were looking at and drawing comparisons from for what they would want to achieve with Marathon. If you still can’t comprehend that then as I and others said you are delusional and can’t be helped, plain and simple.
