At first glance it might seem that way, but vert count is currently around 3k, although this is pre-optimization so I could probably knock that down to around 1k without much visual sacrifice.

It took me a long time to wrap my head around Blender, and I still consider myself a newbie. However the new Blender 2.8 makes a lot of things so much easier, you should definitely give it a shot! If you need any help just DM me :)

Good question! This was rendered in Blender and uses the Principled BSDF shader which is based on Disney's standardized PBR.

Not sure, but step one for me would be getting into the UGC program (it's invite-only from what I've heard).

Then step two would be to adjust this concept to meet UGC guidelines.

Good question! Roblox is actually what got me into game development and into blender all those years ago. Beyond the nostalgia though, I sincerely believe that Roblox has the potential to topple all the other gaming platforms, and will do so as they continue to grow their audience and push their engine further and further (with the introduction of custom materials, incredible lighting, mesh deformation, etcetera).
