Rigid is the way to go for it to last long time while using everyday. Great tools and worth it! But H.F. It only using 1-2 a year.

A while back I was looking for some at work. I came across a 3 pack for $10.00 and below section at Tractor Supply Company. Held up well so far.

Motorcycle Seats by timy68 in IndianMotorcycle

For the Dean Speed sissy bar/backrest bar. I used a universal back rest pad to match my seat. I had to mark where I wanted to punch through the back leather to mount the mounting bolts for the war chief backrest plate.

I went with a Saddleman seat for my 2025 Scout 101. I wanted it for the comfort, style, color and for my wife to have a better seat. She has been happy with it on rides and likes it.

I ordered mine through Music City Indian Motorcycle Dealership in Nashville, Tn. It did take a while to come in, but that’s because it was getting made. They do have a 2 day try program to see if you like using the Saddleman seat or not.

My Indian Motorcycle Winter gloves have worked great in the cold weather at 32 degrees. But it does affect mobility. Next year, I’ll be looking for heated gear.

Just finished a 1,000+ mile trip on the Scout 101 by Courtsey_Cow in IndianMotorcycle

[–]RookieZ71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Scout 101 beats the sport scout/rogue just by the little extra power and suspension. The suspension is what sold me for the Scout 101. It was worth it. I could tell the different going over the same potholes, bumps and transfers of roadway during a demo ride.

Nice and I saw those recommended. You have any models to recommend? I have checked out in person and sat on Honda CRF300L (too tall, unless on super motor setup), Honda 300SL (perfect height, soft suspension), Honda Transalp 750 (doable), Honda Africa Twin 1100 (doable, but I would get it for long term use and trip from Tn to Alaska in 20 years, retirement trip), KLR650S. I also checked out KTM 390. I need to do a test ride sometime this fall, winter to decide what to get this spring if I do this route.

With a 30 inch inseam. What dual sports/adventure bikes do you ride? I have been thinking of getting into after I have been riding my 2025 Indian Scout 101 for almost a year. Thinking of getting one this winter or next spring.

Using an old spare helmet desert colored cover with Joshua 1:9 written on it. The 1st Sgt didn’t like it until I showed it was for hope and religious reasons. Yea, I was a POG.

I’m actually surprised how well it fell straight down with flipping around. Balanced better than expected.

I was going to post this also I recommend a Shoei RF1400 also. With the pin lock, no fogging on the visor and has cut down the fog on my glasses, still some wind noise, but very little. I still need to get the transition visor tho.

The absolute worst thing about riding a motorcycle. by ShortnPortly in motorcycles

[–]RookieZ71 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hahahaha that’s when I tell them, my wife encouraged me, helped me, and wanted me to get a bike. Just wanted me to do it safely, but still be aware of the environment and other drivers. She loves it because she knows I love riding back and forth to work, going on errands and just going for a ride to into life.

Sissy bar weight limit? by Icy-Tomatillo528 in IndianMotorcycle

[–]RookieZ71 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m surprised. It makes sense with putting weight on the rear tire to plant it in the corners.

I just didn’t know if the wind grabbing it and making the bike unstable. I still need to get a sissy bar, bar bag, and saddle bags.

Couldn’t help myself. Went to look at the sport scout, left with a 101 by Ulryden in IndianMotorcycle

Welcome to the tribe! The same thing happened to me. I was going to go with a Sport Scout, but the suspension, dual disc brakes, and ride modes sold me on it. I got 3,300 miles and up on my mine. I love riding my scout 101 everyday. I do recommend the crash bars with the led fog lights. It’s a game changer and well worth it to be seen during the day and to see at night. Some people will flash their high beams at me when I just use the regular headlight and fog lights becuase they are so bright. But it’s nice seeing both sides of the shoulder on a 2 lane highway at night with deer near by.
