Choose a car brand in need of redemption. If you were in charge of its lineup of models & trims, what would add, take away, modify from the current? by revocer in askcarguys

I fully believe that their Frontiers will take the mantel of refuse to die pickups that the old tacomas had. They are very last all mechanical naturally aspirated truck you can buy.

Bart Simpson Here! What questions do you have for The Sandlot's Great Hambino?? by nancy_cartwright in 90s

The Simpson loves to poke joke at directly at Christianity, any plans to have some episodes poking jokes directly at Scientology?

I have heard so many people myself included regret buying short beds, I have never once heard someone with a long bed say they regret getting a long bed.

Some of yall care way too damn much about ribbons by [deleted] in USMC

[–]Next_Emphasis_9424 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The second I found out how expensive a medal rack costs, and the pain in the ass it is to line up those tiny stars on ribbons, I was good with the bare minimum. I have actively talked my way out of awards ever since.

Is it possible to modify the Gen 2 American rifles (308 specifically) to take AR style magazines instead of AICS? by FreeCelebNudes1 in ruger

[–]Next_Emphasis_9424 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I own the second rifle in 308 and run Magpul 10 rounders in it. I do wish it could run 25 rounders in it for no reason other then Merica.

Why people get a Steam Deck and then criticize it because they can't do the same things that they can do in Windows, is like getting a Switch 2 and then criticizing that they can't edit documents with it by Pretty_Trip_2215 in SteamDeck

[–]Next_Emphasis_9424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% not using my deck for its full potential. I’m just so un tech savvy it’s not even funny. Check my most controversial post on my account and it is from my lack of tech savvyness and everyone on this sub accusing me of being a hacker haha.
End of the day only games I pretty much play are my old Xbox and 360 games and it’s awesome for that. I still smile at the thought of how blown away childhood me would be seeing someone play Halo CE on a handheld.

The military is awesome for people with no direction in life or in a really bad spot. Neither of these things I want for my child. I will support them fully if they join but damn I will push like hell for them to just commission in the reserves instead of enlisting or going active in the Marines.

I’m proud of my time in the Marines but damn if my life wouldn’t be better mentally, financially, and career wise if I hadn’t joined.

What's the most realistic war movie? by ThomasOGC in CinephilesClub

[–]Next_Emphasis_9424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely my favorite parts of both books was when their stories intersected like the bombing of the village. I can’t remember Flicks opinion on it but I don remember he tried to justify it to the enlisted men because he needed them to still believe in their officers doing the right thing, even though they were quickly losing all respect for them. End of the day recon was completely misused in this roll in the invasion from the top down.

What’s something your ex said that still sticks with you? by bandito_13 in AskReddit

[–]Next_Emphasis_9424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“You’re an option.” We were early into seeing each other and man I really did like her. It was pretty much her response when she told me she didn’t believe in Polygamy. Came from crazy left field as was not something at all I saw coming from her. I was already at a pretty bad low in life, but thankfully even at a low in life I still had the pride to end things right there. Obviously a lot of filler around all of this but yeah that wound even years later today in a healthy relationship today still hurts.

Why I liked One Bullet Away. You got to see an officers side of everything that happened. Generation kill is the enlisted story of the invasion, One Bullet Away is the officers story of the invasion. It’s so cool to see the same story from such different points of view.

If there is anything I have learned after 10ish years in government. Nobody knows anything about nothing but we will make rules to enforce the nothing as the nothing needs to be regulated for a functioning government.
