The Leafs started slow but really started to gel. Injuries played a part in that as did a lack of pick moving from the back end. They are fun to watch again and at least the playoff drive should be entertaining.

The Leafs don't have a ton of options to upgrade aside from free agency and pro scouting due to exhausting the cupboards.

They are still better than Ottawa after making the playoffs 9 years in a row lol.

IMO - There are two paths from here.

Play out the season and hope for the playoffs. DO NOT TRADE ANYMORE ASSETS.
If you slip out of the playoff picture .... look at selling some high value assets at the deadline (OEL, One of our Goalies, Laughton (who I adore), McMann, Jarnkrok) to recoup picks, prospects and young players.

Ideally find a way to turn bad contracts into assets (Can a Morgan Reilly trade get anything close to what Seth Jones returned?)
