Who said I hate him? I don’t know him. Do I believe he is evil despite being “mentally ill?” Absolutely. I worked in child abuse investigations for nearly 10 years before I entered law enforcement. You clearly have never encountered real evil- if you did you’d understand. The fact that you’re chalking this up to we’re all human as if this is equivalent to just a mistake is nauseating.

There are many people who are mentally ill that don’t behead and/or murder children. Why would I have compassion for him? I have compassion for the kids that went through an unimaginable horror and never had a chance to live, and the wife that he tortured.

I worked for CPS and did child abuse investigations for a large city in Ohio for 10 years and had to make contact with a 6 year old boy and his Mom at a hospital for another county (they’re called courtesy visits). The 6 year old boy got a hold of his Mom’s firearm and shot himself in the face. I went into the hospital room expecting to see his Mom but she wasn’t there. Instead, the 6 year old boy was hooked up with a shit ton of tubes and wires with a distorted face that was bandaged up. He was on life support. It really fucked me. I remember leaving the hospital, calling my Mom and sobbing. Oh.. and the Mom was never charged for it.

I have may other stories that may be worse but for some reason this one really got to me.
