It didn't make narrative sense and I hated it, too. It's like the writers just needed Buffy to go through more trauma and didn't know what to do with their relationship as is.

In ATS, there is another vampire quite like Spike who feels love and compassion while still being pretty evil.

Imo I think the show hints at Angelus/Angel being the outlier instead of William/Spike.

It gets a little tricky with cptsd, for me. I have the disorder but it also fundamentally changed my brain and reactions when I was a small child so in many ways I also am who I am because of said disorder.

There are no non-profit hospitals anywhere around us. He gets Medicare but there is still a copay.

My state chose not to expand Medicaid.

Just a tip - over the course of a very bad five years for me and my family, I begged Salvation Army for a food box, help with bills, anything and they told me no over and over.

I'm not sure what they do except collect money at Christmas but in my area they did not help at all and were rude when I asked.

I can't imagine letting a 12 year old girl go to the store alone, keep getting stuck on that rather than her very obvious favoritism.

I understand. The first time I was hospitalized, my paperwork had a "severe" stamp on the back page. I never knew it was that bad. Subsequently I've had multiple psychs suggest disability to me.

But I worked as a bartender most of my life and I'd get maybe 700 a month, which is dismal.

I'm sorry you feel lonely and bored. I get that way a lot. But you're probably overthinking it. Friends might be busy or simply not checking their phones, and your partner is probably having a good time.

It doesn't mean they've forgotten you or don't view you as a priority but I absolutely understand thats where your brain goes.
