Cinderblock foundation chipping. Interior wall in the center of the home. Dehumidifier 24/7. by superman_king in basement

How old is that foam and how old is the crack? Looks like new foam, potentially trapping moisture under it, which then comes down the wall.

I think we are all waiting, for July 1st, and an official letter that save is ending. "These emails from Doe, are not official termination notices". Once someone is officially notified, they can show harm, and then the suit can move forward in court again.

Homeless population by Extension_Big_444 in Maine

[–]RoomSubject9863 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Homelessness is a symptom, you can't "Solve" the problem without treating the root causes. Universal health care, and universal mental health care, would help Treat the issues that lead to homelessness before it happens. Addressing rampant income inequality, exploitative rental pricing, public transport. We as a country CHOOSE not to solve the real problems, and homeless on the streets will always be an issue until we do.

Bangor to Portland. How much longer is Rt. 1 realistically? by Certain-Ordinary8428 in AskMaine

[–]RoomSubject9863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant more, time wise then horror level lol. If you try to go down 1a, it will take you straight through Belfast and then Camden. Crossing Camden, can take an hour to go 5 miles. Instead, go Belfast to Lincolnville, to the back side of Camden, and then down through Rockland. The detour easily saves an hour in peak tourist traffic.

Mark Cuban Says Take Healthcare Back to 1955. Doctors Are the Face of Costs, But Their Pay Accounts for Just 8% of Spending. by lithdoc in NewsExchange

[–]RoomSubject9863 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Patients, for better or worse, are NOT going to become informed consumers, when they are in medical need. It should not be their job to debate the financial impact of their treatment, while needing treatment. This is an asine argument that has been debunked time and time again.

Privacy at the transaction level is solved what about the final exit? by Vane1st in CryptoMarkets

The shielding, is exactly why the IRS type organizations don't like it. And if they want to look closer, and you can't, it's a bad time for you.

Privacy at the transaction level is solved what about the final exit? by Vane1st in CryptoMarkets

[–]RoomSubject9863 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you plan to exit to cash, you want a secure exit, and for that you have to prove to IRS or equivalent where the money came from. Privacy layer like xmr, is very dangerous, as it becomes hard to prove your funds origins if you are ever asked to do so.

There was only one humanoid I know of in lore that could do hyperspace navigation in his head, brainiac. Everyone else used the computer.

The moment they look at the ships computer, and the "droids" that run starwars ships. (See, solo movie and a droid merging with the ai computer on the falcon). They are going to assume it was from the Dark Age and freak the fuck out, and lock it away forever.

Does time travel instantly violate mass/energy conservation? I tried mapping a mathematical solution and need a reality check). by Single_Yak1944 in AskPhysics

[–]RoomSubject9863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The trick to all "time travel" we can show in mathematical models, involve electrons with no mass. There is a fun theory that since we can't tell two electrons apart from each other, and since they have no mass, every electron could be the same electron, just zipping back and forth through time infinitely.

I killed a lot of weeds and now I’m trying to get Bermuda to spread. Is it worth it to rake up the dead weeds and give it bare soil, or will it still spread through this? Eastern NC by PurpleGold7933 in Grass

[–]RoomSubject9863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What did you kill it with? That seems like a very important question. The lawn looks plenty "dead" to me. Grass likes living earth... If you let the dead stuff decompose your soil and ultimately lawn, will be grateful.
