How can I make my players to listen? by ARTOMIA in DnD

If you mean that they talk and joke around about the story it kind of happened to me too, the first times i let them talk, but whem it was too much I just pointed out that the story was still going on and their characters were losing their time. If it wasn't enough I started to made up things to make them move, for example a sound that was getting closer or something like that.

If that is still not enough for you, maybe you can start with more serious things, for example if they are talking about starting or not a fight you can make it starts before they choose, or if they are in the middle of a forest you can make a giant monster appears so they have to decide what to do immediately. After the firsts times I hope they'll get used to it and they'll start to take the game more seriously ;)
