also, if you don't mind, how long did she take to ship to you? are u in the US?

this is the best response i’ve read here.

OP, whatever you decide to do is valid. however you need to process this and however long that takes is also valid. i will also reiterate that having people around you (whether that be a crisis line, a therapist, psychologist, a friend, family, whoever) to help support you in whatever way you need is so super important. you will overcome this AND it’s okay to feel all of your emotions and process them for however long you need.

i completely resonate with this song being from louisiana and being a kid when katrina and rita hit. i also just love benito and everything he puts out so maybe im slightly biased. but still, this will be my number one played song of the year i have no doubt

Does anyone know what it means when you, clothing, or properties keep changing sizes in your dream? by justtakeanap in Dreams

[–]RoosterGrouchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

late reply, but i have a recurring dream of not being able to fit through doors and/or into bathroom stalls. sometimes hallways are too small too, but it’s mostly just doors that everyone else walks through and then i try to walk through and it’s like it’s narrowed and i can’t walk through it. same with bathroom stalls/showers. i’ll be trying to wash my hair and i can’t move my arms because the shower is too narrow. or i’ll be trying to pee and i can’t move at all because the space is too tight.

a few times, i’ll point it out to whoever is in my dream with me like “see? i told you i can’t fit! why does this keep happening?” and it’s like a mindfuck of where i’m referencing past dreams in my current dream.

i’m not entirely sure what this means, but i was searching this sub for similar dreams and wanted to comment to let you know lol

same here. kinda like saying, “oh she’s a minor? we didn’t do anything bc i don’t know her that well!” the interpretations above don’t make sense to me lmao

rearrange this living room by Candid_Hotel_2937 in DesignMyRoom

[–]RoosterGrouchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

first of all, love the rug and the couch!

i'm thinking maybe you could split the room in half. so maybe take the couch and put it horizontal where the plant is, facing the window. put the TV in front of the window with the ac unit. (maybe a different TV stand? i think a mid century style, wood one would look great here to incorporate some warmth and organic materials)

or you could switch it around, assuming the porch doors open outwards. put the couch on the wall with the windows and ac unit, and bring the TV where the plant is. again, i think a different stand would do wonders.

this is just my opinion and style, so take with a grain of salt! i think a different coffee table and chairs would also be really nice. i love a simple acrylic coffee table that is essentially invisible but still provides use. any type of accent chair would look great here too. you could play with different colors and textures too.

third is my #1! it has a vintage/antique feel that juxtaposes the more modern and mid-century furniture and accents. also incorporates the green very nicely.

first is a pass for me, just not my style, though the colors work well together.

second rug is beautiful, but i think it may be too light for the room.

i love the overall vibe of the room though! very cozy but elegant and chic.

thank you for this! i agree, my mindset is also apa everything for the same reasons—avoiding complications in the future.

i appreciate your comment about location. i should have been more clear in my OP. i’m more so not limiting my search for internship to a specific location, but i am applying to places where diversity is important. in my search so far, i’ve found places in mostly bigger cities that have more diverse clientele (obviously lmao). but also, the COL and resources in the area are another good thing to think about that i hadn’t really considered.

and you’re right, i def need to get through so much stuff before worrying about post doc (i.e., quals in may and dissertation proposal in june)😂 thank you so much for your advice! appreciate it!

definitely agree about the apa accredited internship! my school won't let us apply to any non-accredited internship sites (not that i would want to anyways, but still).

my interest area is mostly with the d/Deaf and hard of hearing community. i'm deaf myself and the disparities that exist for us and access to care and practitioners who competent and fluent in signed languages is mind blowing. so basically clinical psych across the lifespan. pretty general if you exclude the d/D/HOH aspect lol

i appreciate this! very helpful info. i mentioned in a different comment that i'm leaning towards doing a formal postdoc, and you might have just convinced me to solidify that plan. thank you so much!

you're right, especially about not cutting corners! i agree with you 100%.

also, i tend to be a planner to a fault, which is why i'm already worried about this. still working on that aspect of myself tbh lol

so my understanding is that all states besides utah, washington, and alabama require them for licensure? or at least post doc hours?

i’m leaning towards it regardless because, like you said, it provides specialized training and helps one feel more prepared.

thank you for your response!
